Question about Troy Bilt Backpack Blower, 25cc, 160 Mph, 500 Cfm, Model No. Tb25bp
Believe it or not, the input and output gas lines were reversed by the factory and it worked just fine for about 5 years.
Then the shorter hose got a crack and I couldn't get it running well at high speed and after a few minutes died altogether.
Check to see that the long hose is attached to the larger connector,
That is, there are two different sized connectors for the hoses on the carb.
The wider one has barbs on it while the skinnier one is a straight pipe with no barbs.
The wider one with the barbs should have the longer hose attached to it.
The skinnier one should have the short hose attached to it.
While you're at it, you might as well replace the hoses.
Take the hose with you to the store to get the right one.
Make sure the long hose goes well down into the gas tank (mine was too short...).
This made an AMAZING difference on my blower.
