Question about Wacom Intuos3 Graphic Tablet

Open Question

Wacom pen is in some sort of constant pressure mode.

Hello, I have a big problem that I need resolved ASAP! I have a Wacom Intuos3 Graphic Tablet. There is this wierd problem going on, that just started yesterday. It is just as if, if I were using a mouse or the touchpad on my laptop, I were holding down on the left click button. For instance, when I am at my desktop, when I move my pen around, that blue highlighting box appears that normally appears when you are clicking and dragging. I just uninstalled everything that is Wacom and reinstalled the 615-3a Wacom driver. Additionally, I ordered some new nibs for the pen, and they came in today, and I am using a new one. But, still, this problem isn't going away! Also, when I go into the Wacom Tablet Properties, where it says Current Pressure, the blue/white bar that indicates your pressure, that starts at at least one half of the bar being blue. When I click harder, it goes all the way up, but when I'm just hovering upon the tablet with the pen, the bar is always at least half way full.
UPDATE: I did a system restore to April 15th, which was the earliest one I could find, and after a couple hours of waiting... nothing was fixed. I'm getting really agrivated, as I have a project that is due Friday, and I am falling way behind by waiting for this stupid pen to act normal.

Why won't my wacom grip pen click when it touches the tablet instead of hovering and selecting text?

Have you tried pulling the nib out (the end bit you draw with)? It could be that something is sticking the nib further inside the pen than it should, which is telling the pen you are applying pressure. As far as I know there is a little spring inside the pen that the nib pushes on when you touch the pen to the tablet. Perhaps the spring is permanently squished in.

Does the mouse work (on the tablet)? What happens when the side buttons are pressed do they work? Try un-installing the Wacom driver (Pen Tablet Utility) and Install the latest version from www.wacom.com and see if that helps.

I'm getting the same problem - for some reason it's removed all pen pressure sensitivity recognition from the tablet. I'm going to try re-installing the drivers tonight, I'll get back to you if I figure it out.

Pen and mouse have constant constant cursor jitter Intuos 3 mac

I had a similar problem on my laptop

I plugged the tablet directly into the laptop rather than the USB hub I'd been using until then, The issue disappeared.

Possibly it's a power issue, and going direct cured it?

My Wacom Intuos3 tablet won't switch into pen mode

The winning answer came courtesy of Mr Benedikt Schmitt of Wacom Europe, who offered the following solution: from the Windows Device Manager, disable the “Wacom Virtual Hid Driver” device. (Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Device Manager, find the driver, right-click it and choose “Disable”.) One reboot later (welcome to Windows-land, circa 2008?), everything works as desired. Pressure and tilt sensitivity inside Photoshop still work, and the pen functions just fine in the rest of the Windows desktop. The absolute mapping makes it an absolute pleasure to point quickly and precisely. It makes my laser mouse feel rather clumsy navigating a large 24′ screen!

Pen no longer pressure senstive in painter

Go to Start>Programs>Wacom>Wacom Properties and in there you should be able to "Add" Painter X to the programs recognised by the tablet app.
