S-Video on that model pretty much requires a direct S-Video to TV connection, then enable the TV in the Display properties. If you are trying to use an adapter, it will not work

Dell lattitude d620 won't factory restore ?

Hi,

Please go through the below step, you can able to do it.

1) Shut down the Dell Latitude D620 if it's currently powered on. Click "Start" in the left-hand corner of the screen to access Windows' shut down options. Alternatively, press and hold the Latitude's power button, located on the top edge of the laptop's keyboard.

2) Turn on the computer by pressing the laptop's power button.

3) Press and hold "F8" on the top of the laptop's keyboard immediately after turning the computer on. If the Windows logo appears on the screen, you're too late and must repeat Steps 1 through 3 again. If you pressed it in time, a list of text options will appear on the screen.

4) Use your keyboard's arrow keys to scroll down to "Repair Your Computer." Push the "Enter" key on your keyboard.

5) Choose a language from the next list and select "Next." If you've password-protected your laptop, you will be prompted to enter your user name and password at this time.

6) Press "Dell Factory Image Restore." A new window will appear. Click "Next" and select the option for reformatting the hard drive and restoring the factory condition of the laptop.

How do I adjust brightness on my Dell Latitude D6...

Look for a key labeled "Fn" (blue lettering) on the lower left side of the keyboard

Hold the "Fn" key and then use the Up/Down arrows to adjust brightness.

If that doesn't work, reboot your laptop and get into the BIOS. There is a screen for brightness. I don't recall how it is labeled, but it's one of the last pages as you cycle through the BIOS options.

My dell lattiude keyboard doesnt type correct letters type j and

Go into safe mode and see if the same things happens there, if it does then bring it back into normal windows and go into notepad.

move your fingers across all the keys from left to right on each row. If the keys still aren't typing right then the keyboard needs to be replaced.

Left & right arrow keys not working.

Try to connect an external keyboard, see if that one works. If it does, then the problem is most likely a loose ribbon cable from the internal keyboard to the motherboard (especially if you recently installed a new one) - also, while you are examining the cable, look for any tears, cuts, or kinks in the cable. Good luck!

Arrow key problem

if its a sensor problem under the keyboard, gently blowing under the key or hoovering the keyboard may bring results, but it may just be the driver, so go to my comuter icon, right click, properties, the hardware tab, device manager and go down the list to keyboard, click the '+' sign to reveal your keyboard make, right click on it and select uninstal. Restart the notebook and the keyboard will be recognised again and the driver automatically installed. If none of that works your problem may be more serious in the way of a faulty circuit under the board
