It is possible that you need a new battery which is an easy fix, just buy a new one, however it is also possible that the phone has been damaged internally somehow, unfortunately I recommend speaking either with Sprint 888-211-4727 or Sanyo (800) 421-6382 if a new battery doesn't fix it, to avoid spending unneeded money if you have a friend with the same phone, borrow theirs just to see if it works, if it does then you know it's the battery.

The LCD monitor setting was lost after changed battery pack

Take a picture with the new battery pack. Is the picture also blank? Are the menu selections still visible in the LCD? Have you tried pressing the DISP button on the back, but the screen still remains blank?

If the answer is yes to these three questions, this sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Blank screen in ON mode at random occassions

Remove the card and the battery...press all the buttons...leave the camera alone for 20 minutes...insert the card and then the battery...turn it on. If the screen comes on, go into the menu and scroll to "reset" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Black screen problem with Canon PowerShot SD 750

Did you accidentally press the DISP button on the back of your camera? This manually turns the screen on and off to save batteries. Try pressing this button one more time to see if it turns the screen back on.

Canon Sd 750

Hey kirby18,
I would try cleaning the battery contacts with alcohol and cotton swabs, and if this doesn't work you can try replacing the battery with a new battery. If neither of those options work I would suggest having the camera looked at by an authorized service technician.

Sincerely,
Allan

Canon sd 750 faceplate replcement

It's usually an easy fix. But really would recommend leaving it be if the camera is 100% functional.

The trick is finding a replacement at a reasonable price (usually from broken cameras off of ebay). Here's some examples of disassembly of older models from the sd series. Note that yours is somewhat different, but it still should be a doable project:

Canon powershot s21s problem

I have the same problem with my S21S. A long time ago, I tried to find-out what size SD cards would work on this camera. Since there was NOTHING listed in the specifications, I tried a 4GB card. The camera simply would not recognise it, but worked fine when I returned the 1GB card to it. A few days ago, I popped-in a 2GB card to see if that would work. The camera seemed to accept it, and created a directory on it, but this is when my screen went blank. the only thing that is constantly present is a small hand symbol. The stored images can be displayed, and the menus work... I think its locked-up. Is there an "all reset" button, or sequence somewhere? TIA!

To reset your TomTom device:
1. Charge your device.
Charge your device for at least 2 hours. Make sure the charging light on your device is on (except RIDER which has no charging light).

2. Remove the SD card.
If your device uses an SD card, remove it.
3. Reset your device.
Use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button. For a visual representation of the reset button, see below.
4. Turn your device on.
Press and hold the On/Off button for at least 4 full seconds.
5. Insert the SD card.
If your device uses an SD card, insert the SD card.

images of where to find the reset button can be found here.
