Question about Campbell Hausfeld 26 - Gallon Air Compressor
Looks like the regulation is shot. It wont shut off by switch and it stays on till the overpressure blows. I have always been unhappy with the compressor because it didn't have enough volume to run a lug wrench. Should I look into getting a bigger bore pressure switch?
Remove the pressure switch and look for oil inside it, where it senses air pressure. Also may just be burn't contacts. Clean them with Wet&Dry paper.
Your compressor is TOO Small on the CFM side to power high volume air tools, like a cut off wheel, air chisel or your impact gun ,if you use it too long.
It's not tank volume,it is the compressors ability to make air quicker than you use it, and at a steady 100# or more, none stop.
The only real fix is a very large single stage unit or the best is a two stage. Those two options are expensive.
