Question about NetGear WGR614 Wireless Router
Network Key for netgear wgr614
Hi, taffy_man, the network key is something you configure yourself. If you dont know it you have to RESET the router to the factory defaults.
Take a paper clip, or something sharp, and insert it into the little reset hole in the back of the router, and hold for 15 seconds or so, that'll reset the router. Wait for all the lights to stop flashing and remain on, then try to connect to the internet.
Or you could type www.routerlogin.com into your internet address bar and it'll ask you for the username and password, the defaults are admin and password..
If that doesnt work do the same thing but first disconnect the power cable. Then while pressing the reset button THEN connect the power cable again but keep the reset button for 10 secons and then go to the routerlogin.com or (192.168.1.1) and do what I wrote above. Then you will have to reconfigure your settings. I hope this helps.

for that you have to access your router.
connect your router to computer with ehternet cable.
then access it with following link.
type user as 'admin' and password as "admin" or blank or 'password'
then go to wireless security then you find WEP or WAP key there but it is in * or # format so you can't know it.
So you have to set new key so you can easily know it.
Then set new network key then save and restart the router then you can connect it with new key.

SOURCE: find my lost network key
There is no way to find a lost network key. Can you log in to the router using a wired connection through your LAN port instead? Then you can change the network key to a new one which you can WRITE DOWN on a nice sticky label and paste to the router. (along with the admin password for the router)

When youclick Refresh network list, then Choose yourwireless network and then click Connect to your secured WirelessNetwork, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connectinto your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, orWPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used to configure the Wireless Router. The Passphraseis an alternate way to setup the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrasethat was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router.
