Hi, go to Start - Run and type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and under Startup find the eRecovery and uncheck it. Then restart and when it finishes restarting you will get a message regarding the Configuration Utility - click on Do not show this message again and done! I hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Thank you :D

Corrupt files windows system32 config system

The easiest way to fix corrupted windows system files is do an Acer eRecovery. On power-up, while the Acer logo is showing, press the Alt-key and hold it down while pressing the F10-key repeatedly. Wait while screen shows eRecovery loading. On the eRecovery menu, select restore of system software to factory condition. This will delete all user data from the hard disk and once the restore is complete, you will have to re-enter your initial system configuration settings.

Hi my laptop wont go to windows , it just saying prepare boot to os . can anyone help please

Windows may not be starting due to a driver problem. In any case, see if you can get into the Windows Advanced Options Menu as follows...
1. have the ac adapter connected
2. power on the laptop and watch the screen
3. when the Acer logo is showing, press F8 repeatedly
4. Windows Advanced Options Menu should now start
5. once you are in the Menu, use the up and down arrow keys to select an option
You could try starting with ...
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
OR
Safe Mode
where you could do a System Restore to an earlier date when the system was working
If none of this works and you don't have any user data that needs to be saved, then do as follows.
All Acer netbooks have a factory install image on a hidden partition of the hard disk. Suggest you should re-install the original windows factory image. All user data on the C: drive will be cleared by Acer eRecovery which you would start up as follows....
1. have the netbook connected to its AC adapter which is plugged into AC power line
2. power on the netbook and watch the screen as it starts up
3. when the acer logo is showing, hold down the Alt key and press F10 repeatedly
4. until screen indicates Acer eRecovery is starting
5. once eRecovery is loaded, follow the directions given on the screen

If your windows xp is not genuine, it likely has been corrupted. This would also explain why you cannot start any program. reinstall applications and drivers.
3 Follow the instructions on screen to complete the process.

My Acer D250 netbook starts show a white screen the reboots it self, sometimes it not only shows white screen but also gray or it run colourful lines then it restart. When it restart it start working fine...

Suggest using Acer eRecovery Management to attempt problem resolution as follows...
1. begin with the D250 powered off ...
2. if present, remove any external monitor (unplug its VGA connector from D250 left side)
3. power on and immediately press F2 to enter the BIOS / setup utility
4. using the right cursor key, cursor over to the Main tab of the InsydeH20 Setup Utility
5. if D2D Recovery is not enabled, cursor down to it, press Enter key and enable in pop-up
6. save any changes by pressing F10 to save and exit, otherwise press Esc to just exit
7. press Alt and F10 together while the Acer logo is showing to get entry into eRecovery.
8. eRecovery entry is indicated by message at bottom of screen "Windows is loading files...".
9. if not successful, power off, wait a minute then power on again and immediately
10. press Alt and F10 at the same time - do this several times while Acer logo showing.
11. once in Acer eRecovery Management (V7.0.10) screen, just leave it there........
12. if after a day or so, the screen has not changed, the problem is likely NOT hardware.
13. on the other hand, if your screen problem occurs after awhile, then it is hardware.
14. if it is not hardware, then your Operating System is likely corrupt or has a virus.
15. If it is not a hardware problem, you can completely restore system to factory defaults.
16. board level hardware repairs best done by sending D250 to Acer's authorized shops.

I would recommend downloading Bart PE and than burning an ISO to a CD. Once you run Bart PE get under Command Prompt and enter chkdsk c: /f /r. This can also be done from an XP disk under the Administration console.

Recovery...

You don't want to do a eRecovery, eRecovery is used to format the hard drive and install the drivers like you just got it. You want to do a system restore.

1. Click on the Start bar to the bottom left of your screen
2. Select All Programs
3. Select Accessories
4. Select System Tools
5. Select System Restore
6. Click Next
A calender will come up, select the day it was working, probably the day before, click next. After this the computer is going to restart. All done.

Have a nice day!
