It may be the problem with your motherboard.... the motherboard inside the tower might not give the output.... try to change the monitor and check.... still if you are not getting display, then your motherboard has gone faulty....
service the motherboard and fix the issue....

Monitor stopped working - says No signal

Hi Paul,

This problem is often the result of a loose video cable connection on the computer or an incorrect video signal selection. Most monitors use a cable with "VGA" connector on the end that mates to the computer video port. Other modern computers make use of an HDMI (like the ones used to connect a TV to a BluRay Disk player) or DVI connector instead - either way if it is loose you will get the same "No Signal" message on screen. Make sure these connectors are making good contact with the port on the computer by seating them fully (or better yet - remove and reinsert). In the case of the VGA connector, most have two screws to hold them in the port - you should make sure both are threaded all the way in. You do not need to crank them down, finger-tight is more than enough.

Many newer - flat screen types in particular - do not have the video cable permanently attached. Instead, they use the same cord and connector arrangement found on the computer. It is possible that the connector has become loosened on the monitor end - especially if the monitor is moved / adjusted frequently. You should check the connections at the rear of the monitor just as you checked at the computer, too.

When satisfied that the connections at the computer and monitor are good, check the monitor again. If the message is still present, the monitor may be able to select between an analog input and a digital input via a menu item accessible from the monitor. Check your monitor manual for instructions to change inputs if unsure. If you are using the "standard VGA cable" (the one with the two screws) you should select the analog input. If you're using an HDMI cable, you should select the digital input. If you're using an DVI connector the input may be either analog or digital. When making a change, wait 5 to 10 seconds between toggling between the analog / digital selections to allow the monitor to sync the signal for proper display.

If you're still unable to display the desktop, it is possible that that someone has changed the BIOS options to select a different video card (if more than one is installed) or that the cable is defective.

I hope this helps and good luck!

I get no signal on my lcd when I start my m8000 hp pc desktop

There is no communication to the video card. Try checking cable. Reconnect. Make sure monitor is set to correct input, like VGA, DVI, or HDMI. Reseat the video card, and if still nothing, test with another video card.

My computer comes on and a analog shows up and my screen turns blank

Is it a desktop computer? If it is, check the video cable in the back of the monitor, a blue video cable means analog input and a white video cable means it's a digital input. You may have a digital input and all you need is to press the button on the monitor that has a little monitor symbol and see if it switches input types. If you have the blue cable connected to the monitor and you still get no signal then you may have a bad video card.

Screen said please check video cable connection?

This is an indication that the monitor is not receiving a video signal from the computer. Check both ends of the video cable - both the connection to the monitor as well as the connection to your computer's video card, and make sure that both are secure. If the connections are secure and the problem persists, buy a replacement video cable. If that fails to fix the issue, try swapping out a different video card.

Faulty monitor ctx pv720a. The screen has the

Try another cable, or check the plug for bent pins. If they are all good, check that the monitor is set for VGA input (if it supports VGA and DVI) as it may be looking for a different input. Then replace the monitor. It's not common, but video processing circuitry can sometimes fail, and yours may have. New 17-inch LCD monitors are quite inexpensive now, so it would probably be more economical to replace this one than to try repairing it.

Screen says check signal cable - have check my cables....

Not really...

First check if the cable connected from the monitor is secured and properly connected to the video card of the CPU.

"Check signal cable" will only be display if there is no signal coming from the CPU.. that signal Passes through the video card..

Check the status of your video card.....and see also if the CPU is working and not dead set.

Hope this help...
Much appreciated if you rate this help.. thanks

Screen will not stay on, getting message no input signal

The message input signal means no signal is being feed to the monitor.
Check the cable use to connect the monitor to the video card.. fix and secure the connection.
If the computer is reading and you know its working, check the video card.
Turn off the CPU disconnect the video card from the motherboard and reconnect.
Try to open your CPU and see if it reacts with your monitor. If nothing happens replace your video card
