This is my second attempt for help with my camera problem. Up until recently my Olympus c-750 camera (4ish years old) retained all my custom settings as I changed batteries. Now, as soon as I remove the batteries all camera settings revert back to the factory settings. I put in newly charged batteries and than heve to reset everything to my liking. It happens at every battery change. Is there an internal battery that is supposed to provide power to retain custom settings? Perhaps a capacitor to provide power?? If so, are they replaceable??. Any help is welcomed. If you replyed in the past, I must have missed that response. Perhaps sending me an email would be better. Thanks

I have had my Olympus FE-210 for about 2 1/2 years just recently it started to display an all black screen after I took pictures and like many of you I would turn it off and back on just to get 1 picture out.
After testing it over and again I may have solved the problem:
First: remove all of the pictures and memory card from the camera
Second: go into the menu and find the reset button it will then display that the camera will return to default(factory setting)
after I did this I was able to take over 35 continuous pictures using every setting and scene setting the camera has
If this doesn't work I would suggest buying a new camera
Hopes this helps!!

Check any adjustments that have to with resolution. Do they look more pixellated when you look at them on the computer. Or do the pictures look out of focus?
You should check under the Shooting guide #3 (blurring background) to see if this helps you.
If none of the settings (ISO settings, resolution, lighting, image stabilization mode) help you, contact HP next.
This camera, if I recall correctly, is a fairly basic camera. I would contact HP and see what they can do for you. Since the camera is close to the warranty period of one year, they should cover it under warranty.
The custom button can be used to assign specific camera functions set by the user. This function allows the user to quickly select assigned camera functions by pressing the custom button and selecting settings using the control dial.
