The second opinion I was looking for came in as the same as the one discovered by the geeks at Best Buy. There is an apparent problem with the MB. The quickest way to get the machine back into production was, in my opinion, to just replace the board, which I am having done.

Thanks for all your suggestions and hope my experience with this emachine helps someone else.

How do i install video cards in my emachines ET1352G-03W?

Your machine will accept a PCI-e x16 Graphics card. If you are going to go to high high-end, high-power card, ensure that you have the proper power connectors for the card. Mainstream video cards are powered from the PCI-e slot itself. Also, be advised that your machine only has a 220W power supply, so high-end cards may draw too much power from an already anemic source.

To install the new card, simply power off the PC and unplug it. Open the case and locate the PCI-e slot (closest to Power Supply). Take out the proper blank at the rear of the machine to allow the card to be installed. Install the card and secure it with a screw (or whatever means the case provides). Hook up the card's power connector (if equipped). Secure the case. Move your monitor's cable from the onboard video connector to the one on the new card. Power up the PC and watch the bootup. The Operating System should detect the new graphics card and will install, at a minimum, a generic driver for it. To install the drivers supplied with the card, install the CD/DVD and run the install setup program.

I turned my e-machine T5010 few days ago and it immediately shut down and did not power again after can i fix?

After you moved or turned your computer desktop it stopped turning on? When you moved it, you may have dislodged the power connections. Double check the power cord and make sure it is snuggly fit into the back of the computer and the other end into the wall outlet. If possible, try a new wall outlet.

If you are still having trouble, make sure your power supply it turned on(usually a power switch on the back of it). You can also try a different power cord if you have one available.

Okay just recently there was a power outage, my desktop CPU is connected to a UPS w/ surge protection, but the day I try and turn it on the monitor show the "no input signal" sign on the display....

Well it really depends. Does the computer quickly flicker on and off? If so then it is definately the power supply. If this does not happen and the computer boots up but shows no video on both the video card and on the onboard video then I would have to say it would be the motherboard. It really does sound like your surge protector failed you this time. Although one thing that can be added to a surge protector to ensure it works to its best potential is a Power Conditioner. A Power Conditioner is a device intended to improve the quality of the power that is delivered to electrical load equipment. As for the current state of the electronics, what I had previously said is the only things that could be possible seeing as you have already checked the video card and the processor, if it were fried, would not stop the sreen from showing up, it would just not allow the computer to post. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

PC won't power up

Hi! Try to check if there is any power light or any lights on the machine whenever you try to turn it on, also, try to directly connect the power cable directly to the wall outlet. If you have a spare power cable try to use it.If you are getting the same result, try to unplug the power cable at the back of the computer, press and hold the power button for 10 secs and after that plug the power cable back in and then try to press the power button.Check for indicators if the system is getting power for example, check lights, check if the fan is spinning at the back, check if the dvd/cd drive will open or check if the tower is emitting any sound. If still the same and still no light coming from the tower then it might be a issue with either the power supply or the motherboard, you can call your manufacturer and have the machine serviced if its still under warranty.Hope this helps...

HP Pavillion a520n desktop will not power up. We just moved to a new house and something must have happened during the move. There is a blinking light on the back of the PC. Power button does nothing. Is...

Remove the power first then:

Take the side panel off and make sure that all of the connectors are secure in their sockets

It is possible that the machine was bounced and the power connector from the PSU has come adrift .

Check the wiring from the front panel power on/off switch to the push on connectors on the Motherboard

Go onto and download an installation manual for the machine or look at the Motherboard when you have the cover off and go to their website and do the same thing

Computer will not start

Remove and reinsert all cards (i.e. video card, sound card, etc.) as well as fix firmly the cables to the CPU ports. It is possible that these connections loosened during transport.
