Could be charger or main part like motherboard.

If you have registered your machine go to this webpage:
https://secure2.tx.acer.com/FixMyAcer3/FixMyAcer.aspx

Enter serial number and it will start the process for sending your unit in for repair.

If have not registered or would rather call try this number:
1-254-298-4696

Definately send it in since it has warranty for 1 year.

Hope this helps!

My acer 5920 hhas suddenly stopped working, it is showing the error code 0x000000ED (0x867A52D0, 0xC0000185, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) Help!

STOP 0x000000ED UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME - this is issued when the data on the hard disk is completely corrupted.
Reinstall Windows and if the problem returns very quickly then the hard disk itself is dying - you will have to replace it and reinstall one more time.

Helpwith downloading from our sd card to our aspire 5920-6313 laptop pc we did it yesterday but for somereason cann't today

pull the sd card out of the laptop and then reboot the laptop restart it most people put their laptops on standby for some reason and ushally causes more conflicts then need be. Try that see if it helps if not I will look at your units documentation to see if there is anything related to that which would solve this issue quickly for you.

My toshiba laptop l10 281 has stopped working it was working perfectly and was shut down properly wen i went to turn it on again today it wont go it wont even light up please help!! thanks in advance john

If nothing at all works then perhaps you have no power to the system.

Check that the powerpack is getting power (does it hum or get warm when plugged into the mains socket?) Check all connections to the power pack and back of laptop.

Try taking the battery out and powering up on only the power pack

Do you know anyone with a similar laptop that you could swap power pack with?

My Acer Aspire AST180 shuts down with no warning

Sounds like you have a faulty power supply. The internal parts of your pc produce alot of heat, and if a part is heating up, then it will cause your pc to shut off.

With you saying that unplugging it , and then waiting , and then it comes back on, it sounds like once some part has cooled off, then the pc works.

My bet would be your power supply. Do make sure however, that all your parts are still tight in their sockets.. ie processor, memory , etc. I saw a pc that shut off at random times because the heat sink didn't make good contact with the processor once in college. So you want to check those things.

Shuts down it self

Sounds like you have a heat issue. Is the fans clear, or are they clogged with dust, hair, etc? Check the cpu heatsink as well for dust, etc. It sounds like the cpu thermostat is shutting the system down. Let me know
