SOURCE: Programming remote for Zenith DVB412 DVD Player

Hi there!

I have the exact same problem...am wanting to program this same remote to control the TV.

There are no instructions in the manuel...however, in my hours of searching for information on "how to," I did discover that this LG manufactured remote is a "universal" remote.  Unfortunately, the Owners manual fails to address the TV Control feature.

This same remote was manufactured for Zenith's Allegro ABV441 and ABV511 DVD/VCR, Goldstar GBV-441, LG VC8410MS and VG8610MK, and as  Zenith Remote 6711R1P070H.  I've check the manufacturer's web sites and there is virtually no information on this remote.

I did come accross Zenith's Customer Support #, (888) 865-3026.

Hope this helps!

You'll most likely need a Sansui remote made to work with your specific model TV. I have similar problems with my Toshiba TV. Check eBay.

SOURCE: new dvd/vhs player but old tv

The easiest thing to do would be get a new TV plain and simple sounds as if you could use one n e ways. But first make sure you are hooked up through coaxal to the tv that will allow everything to run on channel 3. Let me know your current hookup.

I have a sansui flat with build in DVD but don't have a remote the DVD will load but when push play it says operation not possible with disk what is this do I just need a univ.remote

First, check which input you have the TV set on. There may be an Input button on the side of the TV. (On the SLEDVD197, the button just below the DVD Eject button.) Just press Input and use the Channel Up/Down arrows to navigate the menu to change to the DVD. Press Input again to Enter the selected option.

With the TV in DVD mode, try pressing Play again. If you still have the error, check the region code for the disc. The "Operation not permitted" messages is usually that something on the disc is locked. Frequently, it's the result of using a different region code disc than the DVD player knows how to interpret. Try a different DVD.

If your TV doesn't have the Input button on the TV, you absolutely need a universal remote. However, you will want one that can match the TV/DVD button, the Input/Select button and the Menu button. Usually this requires a higher end remote; you also need a remote that was programmed at least 6 months after Sansui released the TV. If you do have the Input button on the TV, a universal remote may make using the TV easier.

I hope this helps.

How to program vcr to record digital channels?

Any VCR select to input source from where recording.
So select appropiate Euroscart or other AV connection.
Digital channel will be your digital cable set top box or sat receiver, DVD player, whatever. Very unlikely you use a digital capable set topbox to output to your VCR or TV with old fashioned RF coax cable where you have to tun in to cerain RF frequency under Channel 0 or so. So when in timer menu select that input source connection. Direct recording without timer select the source with remote. This solution applies to all brands

Turn off the unit. press and hold the "3" button on the remote until you see "rf 3" in the display on the VRDVD4005. This will change the output channel to 3.
