The key here is the standby light flashing. It should be flashing in a repeated count of flashes with a pause inbetween. Count the blinks and report that number here. This is a diagnostic code indicating the circuit that is having a problem. Armed with that info, we should be able to give you an idea of the problem and its solution.

Thanks,
Dan

It seems that your TV has no horizontal (picture) at the moment. The best solution for this is reservicing the whole unit by resoldering the main board. Mostly heated areas, for dry joints, near Vertical IC, CRT board. The last thing is to change the Horizontal IC.

I have a sony tv model kv-27v42 i have sound but no pictture and stand by light blinks what is the problem

How many times do this standby light blinks at a time of switch on? These blinks are fault indications. From the number of these blinks, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. Count it. If you wish to get more details about the blinking codes to Sony TVs, check this link.

SONY KV-32S25 TV SHUT OFF...NO POWER NO SOUND

You have a blown fuse. It should be a GMA7 amp or a 5 amp. You could try to replace it and see if your TV works again. If it blows the fuse again, then there is something shorted causing the fuse to blow. Then call a good TV Tech.

Sony KV-24LS35U green light flashing 11 times

The Sony error codes go up to 7, so when the standby light flashes 11 times it usually means that one of the clock or data lines deep inside the set is shorted to ground. This is not fixable from the front or through the remote, so the set should be serviced by a qualified tech familiar with Sony sets.
