Question about Wacom Intuos3 Graphic Tablet

Wacom pen is in some sort of constant click mode.

Hello, I have a big problem that I need resolved ASAP!
I have a Wacom Intuos3 Graphic Tablet. There is this wierd problem going on, that just started yesterday. It is just as if, if I were using a mouse or the touchpad on my laptop, I were holding down on the left click button. For instance, when I am at my desktop, when I move my pen around, that blue highlighting box appears that normally appears when you are clicking and dragging.
I just uninstalled everything that is Wacom and reinstalled the 615-3a Wacom driver. Additionally, I ordered some new nibs for the pen, and they came in today, and I am using a new one. But, still, this problem isn't going away!
Also, when I go into the Wacom Tablet Properties, where it says Current Pressure, the blue/white bar that indicates your pressure, that starts at at least one half of the bar being blue. When I click harder, it goes all the way up, but when I'm just hovering upon the tablet with the pen, the bar is always at least half way full.

Say I choose a restore point of March 5th. And then, let's say there is a PSD file that I created on April 2nd. Will all the things that I have created AFTER that restore date of March 5th be lost?

I did a system restore to April 15th, which was the earliest one I could find, and after a couple hours of waiting... nothing. I'm getting really agrivated, as I have a project that is due Friday, and I am falling way behind by waiting for this stupid pen to act normal.

Ok -I can suggest one thing - remove All THE DRIVERS FROM UR PC that effect the unit. Reboot the pc without the unit or Graphic Tablet -- installed. Once fully booted - do a search for the drivers if you know their name. delete them if you find them [ again if you know their names] - Now install the unit and reinstall the drivers. one last thing - upgrade your ram - if it takes hours to restore. Restore takes about 10 minutes. ALso - -just for fun - download CLEANER -and run it - helps - really it does. Best of it Gary

Have you found a solution to this yet? I am thinking there are problems with the pen internally.

Your tablet surface may be going bad if you can not change that adjustment you may be stuck. The units do wear out. If it just started happening it may have been dropped which is causing the problem. Cats jumping on them if you have one is notorious for ruining the units.

My pen for my bamboo tablet is placing the cursor one place on the tablet and and another place on he pc,what can i do to fix this?

Hello,

Go to Control Panel and access the settings for the tablet: you can choose one of 2 mapping settings for the cursor:

1. Pen Mode: this is only to be chosen if the aspect ratio of the tablet matches your monitor aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9 or 16:10) and only if the size of the tablet is comfortable enough
2. Mouse mode: the pen behaves exactly like a mouse

Please check these settings and choose the one that suites best.

My Wacom pen doesn't work. The blue light on the tablet turns green when I touch the pen to it, but the cursor doesn't move on the screen. I thought that the tip needed to be replaced, but after changing...

Does the mouse work (on the tablet)? What happens when the side buttons are pressed do they work? Try un-installing the Wacom driver (Pen Tablet Utility) and Install the latest version from www.wacom.com and see if that helps.

My wacom pen does not work at all, the mouse on the tablet does though

on some older pens, the barrel can spin out of position. If your barrel turns, it can mess up it's function.

Turn the barrel until you hear or feel a clicking into position and try again.

If that doesn't work, move wacom cable to a different usb port. worse case, replace pen.

Wacom intuos3 pen is not working

A few hours ago Wacom released a new driver 6.1.2-5 for the Windows 7/Vista/XP operating systems. I was having the same problem. Hopefully this will be a permanent fix!

Pen and mouse have constant constant cursor jitter Intuos 3 mac

I had a similar problem on my laptop

I plugged the tablet directly into the laptop rather than the USB hub I'd been using until then, The issue disappeared.

Possibly it's a power issue, and going direct cured it?

My Wacom Intuos3 tablet won't switch into pen mode

The winning answer came courtesy of Mr Benedikt Schmitt of Wacom Europe, who offered the following solution: from the Windows Device Manager, disable the “Wacom Virtual Hid Driver” device. (Go to Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Device Manager, find the driver, right-click it and choose “Disable”.) One reboot later (welcome to Windows-land, circa 2008?), everything works as desired. Pressure and tilt sensitivity inside Photoshop still work, and the pen functions just fine in the rest of the Windows desktop. The absolute mapping makes it an absolute pleasure to point quickly and precisely. It makes my laser mouse feel rather clumsy navigating a large 24′ screen!

My Wacom Intuos3 tablet won't switch into pen mode

I had the same problem with my Intuos3 on Vista. Tech support suggested the following.

Do this.....Go to Start--->control panel---->system(in classic view)---->device manager--->click on "human interface devices"--->then click on "Wacom virtual HID driver" and right click on that and disable it. Your computer will ask you to restart and you will want to do that.

Everything works fine now.
