If the toner is loose, and you can smudge it with your fingers, then it is a fuser error. The fuser is the hot roller at the back that melts the toner onto the page. If the toner is not loose but the page just has a kind of grey dusty background which cannot be rubbed off with your finger then the problem could be a dirty transfer roller or a dirty cartridge. It could also be dirt in the optics if it is used in a dusty environment. Cleaning the lenses with a clean dry cloth should clear that up.

How do I fix blurry print

On these machines the blurry prints is usually due to bad fuser sleeves, or worn out fuser roller and sleeve on the fuser. You may replace the fuser unit or just order sleeve and roller for your model and replace them on the fuser. Will take about 2 hours of your time. To check if the blurry prints are due to fuser issues, just swipe your hand over the printed page and if you have toner dust on your hand, the fuser is not cooking the toner on the paper. Fuser roller and sleeve are bad and need replacing.

Why is the kyocera fs-c5100dn print smudging

If the final product is smudging after it prints out the fuser unit is not working and the toner is not fused to the paper. Also the paper should be warm when it prints out.
If it is during the printing you may have loose toner in the printer that is contaminating the print process.

It only prints on the left side of the paper. The print fades and then there is nothing on the right hand side. It doesn't matter what you print or from what program, only about 2" prints down the...

1. Take the toner out and shake it side to side so you even the toner level in the cartridge.
2. If this won't fix it, check toner level, might be low. If low, you need to replace toner.
3. Last option, you might have to replace the Photoconductor Unit.

Samsung CLP-300 dark prints and smears

For starters remember this is not meant to be a PHOTO Printer, I am guessing the Spearing is because Glossy paper does not hold the toner like Regular paper or at least until it is fused. I am a technitiian and i also own this printer.

Printer prints a line across the paper around three inch from the left hand side of the page.

Check your Toner Carts.
Is the line a certain color?
Black perhaps?

Lift the door of the toner cart.
If you see a streak on your toner drum, you will see a streak on your paperwork.

Look at your fuser as well.
Is there a problem with the big orange roller?
BEWARE! Don't touch the fuser roller its EXTREMELY HOT!
Let the printer cool down before inspecting.

Patchy Prints

I believe that the Heat roller in the Fuser has a build up of toner on it(in some areas) and as a result is not fully fusing the toner into the paper. when you use a thick setting you are actually slowing the speed down to allow more heat to the toner. the thicker paper causes more pressure allowing the toner to fuse properly. I would say you need a new Heat roller and possibley a pressure roller. You could try running 20 copies of a blank white page. Sometimes this will help. Poor fusing can also cause a previous image to come up on the next page or repeat itself down the page. A service call is in order if this does not work.

Hope this helps
