Question about ViewSonic VG2021m LCD Monitor
Your monitor have 4 buttons in the right down. the first is for turn on or off the speakers ;)

Check the audio connections (input) to the monitor. If connections are perfact, then have a check your montior speakers. By using a multitester, check the continunity of speakers +, -. If you get beep sound, then your speaker is working perfact. If not getting any beep, change your monitor speaker. Sometimes the onboard audio IC get damaged. Try to configure that.
