Dont worry i am attending to your mail on the net using a slow and old Compaq with only 64MB ram and the internet is fast. Just dont open many windows or try to do too many things at the same time when you are on line (Dont crowd your RAM that all). Operate on the same way you run in the explorer.

Enjoy the ride

My system has a ddr 256 MB but it shows 192 mb only. what is the reason and solution plz

Hi,

Your graphics card is sharing your system memory.

This means that you physically have 256 MB of Ram in you laptop, but the operating system can only use 192 MB of Ram because 64MB of Ram is dedicated to your on-board graphics.

Hope this answers your question!
Please remember to let me know if this information was useful!

Kind Regards

Hi i need instructions on how to install a memory card in an old sony vaio pcg-f190 are ther any downloadable ? thanks

Hi astraspirit2. The Sony Vaio PCG-F190 uses 66MHz type memory and usually ships from Sony with 32/64MB of RAM. The Vaio PCG-F190 supports up to 192MB of RAM.
Most laptops have the memory compartment (at least the expansion socket or both) at the bottom. Flip the computer and you will see a little compartment (sometimes it even has a little chip logo). You will need a phillips #0 or #1 screwdriver. It's really simple, you insert the memory in the socket at an angle and then push it towards the laptop. I hope this helps.
Leo.

Beeping on start up

Your motherboard has 64Mb built-in RAM and the video card needs some video RAM and has grabbed 8Mb of RAM which leaves the system with 56Mb of RAM. When you insert a 64Mb RAM module you have a total of 128Mb of which the video has grabbed 8Mb which leaves the system with 120Mb.
You can't change stop the video card from grabbing 8Mb of RAM, the RAM is essential for the video to work.
You can upgrade the RAM by removing the 64Mb RAM module and insert a 128Mb or 256Mb RAM module. You may even be able to insert a 512Mb RAM module if the motherboard will accept it, you need to check the specification of your laptop to see the maximum amount of RAM the laptop can handle.

Etower 633id runs very slow. Only has 64MB of RAM.

Normally upgrading bios does not require flashing the bios. But in order to find out the max amount you can upgrade too requires some info off the motherboard. You need to get the model number off the board to look up the info

Help with a toshiba TECRA 8100

Yes, it should run WinXP. The minimum system requirements to run both Windows XP Home and Professional are 233Mhz, 64Mb RAM and 1.5GB hard drive space. I have a Toshiba Tecra 8000 that still runs XP, a little slow, but has run smoothly for 5 years.

The setupdd.sys error is most likely a due to a defective hardware like RAM. Try installing only one ram if you have two to see if either one is defective; it should work for most users.

Cannot install Lexmark on my desktop

64MB of ram might be too little if you are working with a PC. With RAM prices not too bad I would suggest a 512MB for the machine.

That will probably allow you to install the printer. At 64MB for a PC you are just asking for trouble.

Multicolor Lines on my Sony Vaio Labtop Monitor

Check that the graphics drivers are ok and updated if there are updates as it's a little old know. May also be a screen fault, not worth repairing.
