Does the printer print a blank page ? if so you have to change cartridge.
If it has a red light the printer may be faulty.
If it does not start at all the printer is faulty.
Did you put new cartridges? old ones must have dried up.
    Please provide details

How do I print envelopes?

Newer printers usually have either a separate cartridge or a feeder area for inserting envelopes. If not, you may be able to slide the tray guides in so envelope does not move around when being fed into printer. Feed like normal sheet of paper.

Your word processing software should be able to help you choose what kind of envelope to print on.

I cant print with my lexmark printer, it is a type x2480 every time i go to print it wants me to set up a fax line please help me

Check your printer properties to make sure it is set to print using the proper port. If it is set to 'print to fax' it will attempt to install a fax line every time you try to print. It should be set to your LPT (printer) port or your USB port, depending on how you have it connected to your computer.

Each time a new cartrige and alignment is done the print alignment ask to align again and again.

most printers require that the entire print alignment be done before it lets you pass this step. to me, it seems like a huge waste of ink! are you stopping the alignment before it's done? is there enough paper in the printer to complete the task? there are ways to avoid this step, you'll have to check your manual's troubleshooting section to find out how.

If it requires servicing then unless you know the ins and outs of how a printer works then i suggest you take it to a qualified repair centre.
