One wins of the new Nikon 3200 locks in however cannot use camera camera says lens not locked

The contact in the lens is the ground contact. If it does not touch the camera mount the camera will, give an error code and not operate. Remove lens mount and check pin spring operation. If stuck slightly enlarge hole

Operating lens

If you're asking about the 70-300mm D lens and the viewfinder is displaying "fEE" then turn the aperture ring on the lens to its smallest setting (largest f/number). Control the aperture from the body, the same way as on a lens without an aperture ring.

When the time to operate my 18 to 55mm is not working how can i fix this can you help me what to do

Hi Tom, if it your first time operating the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USN Lens then this wont be that difficult. To operate the lens, simply attach it to the DSLR body, turning the lens untill it clicks into place. To zoom the lens, turn the grip section of the lens both ways.

Lens error. lens is currently retracted. will not open. nikon s8100 bought xmas 2010.

Had issue with lens stuck and not retracting on nikon s8100. first removed battery. then manually (gently) rotated lens counterclockwise until lens seated in fully retracted position. inserted battery, turned camera on and camera operational again. I suspect that root cause of lens jamming was turning off camera while simultaneously moving zoom lever

A700 flashing "lens" message

Is the lens switched to manual as well as the mode dial. If the compatable lens is a minolta requiring an M42 adapter make sure that the protruding arm/rod is operating the shutter when depressed and that the adapter when fitted operates the lens when turned from auto to manual. Good luck.

Not operate

E 210 is lens operation problem. Open up the machine top glass, dont close the top or feeder unit if installed. Try to switch on the machine and see inside the optical unit, is the lens makes any move ? If not, commonly it is caused by broken gear motor lens drive. If it is moving but stop at the end of movement then you have the Home Position sensor faulty. Try to check that area.

Error 18

The "E18" error code indicates an error that involves the lens unit or lens cover. This error may appear where the lens is prevented from properly extending or retracting such as, for example, when pressure is applied to the lens or the area surrounding the lens while handling the camera. The error may also be displayed if the lens unit/camera has been subjected to an external shock, or if a foreign substance (i.e. liquid, sand, dirt) enters the camera. Solution Check the following when you operate the camera to avoid applying pressure to the lens and surrounding area: - Hold the camera so that your fingers do not touch the lens unit when you are shooting. - Make sure the camera is off before you put it back in the case. Exercise caution to ensure that the camera does not accidentally power on while the camera is stored inside the case.
