Unplugged it. After looking for a new tv online I decided to try getting it to work. So, plugged it back in and held down the power button, a red light came on, held down the power button again and an orange light came on, held down power button again and green light came on and tv powered on. This was simply a case of trial and success!

The only thing working is the digital display and the input keys -- motor and heating element do not work. model 1196 toastmaster

Reboot the breadmaker's electronics by pressing down continuously on the Start button until you notice a visible and/or audible confirmation, usually within 5 to 10 seconds. Beware: Some models require you press the Select button first to select a mode, then press and hold the Start button to reboot the system.

That should fix it. Hope this helps!

Special Note: Often the + and - Timer Delay buttons are pressed by mistake, delaying Start by up to 12 hours. If you suspect the Timer Delay feature has been engaged accidentally, you'll need to reboot the breadmaker's electronics. You can do this by pressing down on the Start button continuously until you notice a visible and/or audible confirmation, usually within 5 to 10 seconds. Beware: Some models require you press the Select button first to select a mode, then press and hold the Start button to reboot the system.

Mitsubishi vs50705 turn power on green button comes on then it shuts off quickly

TRY the self check here, this model may have it.

When green light comes on and goes off, on front of set press and hold both the menu and input buttons for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Watch the power light, if it has the self check feature it will blink a two digit error code.

The most common is two blinks, two blinks, a pause and then repeat several times.

Let me know if find a error code.

Turns off immediately after turned on

Do the self check it should have: when shuts down and green light goes out: On the front of the set press and hold both input and menu buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and then release both.

Power light on set should blink a two digit error code: like 2 blink,2 blink, pause and repeat it at least 5 times total.

Let me know what error code and I will tell you what it means.

Power shuts off 1 second after tv is turned on

Good Day,

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times.
1 - 2 = no error detected
2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current)
2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies)
2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection)
2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source)
1. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR LEAKY C9A60 470 PF 1000 V PART # 154P400030, PARALLEL TO D9A57 ON THE POWER PCB (NOT SHOWN IN THE SCHEMATIC).

2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR OPEN FUSES F9A04 AND F9A05 PART # 283P043090 ON THE +24 AND -24 VOLT LINES. IF THE FUSES ARE OPEN THE CONVERGENCE OUTPUT CIRCUIT WOULD BE SUSPECT.

3. SELF-DIAGNOSIS INDICATES SHORT PROTECT. CHECK FOR A SHORTED IC4B01 PART # 270P261020 (VERTICAL OUTPUT) LOADING 24-VOLT SUPPLY LINE. LOCATED ON THE MAIN PCB.

I hope this was helpful, BIG IRISH.

When I push the power button, the TV starts to boot up (for about 3 seconds) then shuts back off.

It seems like you horizontal board and circuit may not be firing up. But, first you should try a different outlet and power strip and see if that resolves the problem. Back in my day the reset button always seem to do the trick , not any more and you may have tried that already.
Are you getting any light blinking? If so, can you tell me if it is blinking slow, fast, or what?
Can you see if it will blink back an error code? It really isn't to hard to do. Press the input and the menu at the same time, and hold them down for about 5 seconds. I'm sure it should have an input button but, you might have to use the power button instead. However, count the blinks and wait for a pause and then count the blinks again. This TV should give a two digit error code. If successful post a comment on what you were able to get.
The horizontal output has a few diodes that may have went bad. Or the DM could have troubles too. Let's pray a surge strip is all that is needed. I'll have to hold up until you respond for now just to see where it will lead us. I'll keep checking to see if you posted a comment so, that we can continue to troubleshoot this problem for you. Hopefully we can solve it fairly quickly.

I have a ws-65908 that won't power up. When I press the power on button, the green light at the ON button comes on then goes off 3 seconds later. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Have you tried to access the self diagnosis feature by holding in the menu button and the device/input button on the set for five seconds? The led should blink a series of blinks then pause briefly then blink another series of blinks for the 2nd digit let me know what the blink code is an I will assist you.

With power available at the projector and the lamp off (projector off) - hold the input button on and press the power button on and hold for 5 secs. This will reset the lamp timer to zero.

I wish they could have stuck this in the operators manual.
