My first suggestion would be to check to make sure the driver is installed:

Start
Control Panel
System
Click Hardware Tab
Click Device Manager Button

When this comes up look down in the section under sound, video and game controllers.

If there are any ! in yellow triangles or red X's it means there is a problem with the driver or if Red X the device is disabled.

Alternatively make sure that the sound is not muted.
Start
Control Panel
Sounds and Audio Devices
On the first tab in that box, make sure mute is not checked.

If you need to download drivers (yellow triangle) connect to the internet and double click the device from the device manager, click reinstall driver. If it does not install automatically, try running windows update, or going to the manufacturer's website and downloading a driver file for the computer model.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!
