Easiest thing might be buy cheap plug in timer, set power pack to override and plug power pack into cheap timer.
Power packs come with warranty if you have receipt.

Garden Trctor Model 917.273023 . Key switch broke, wore out. replaced it. started up great, tried to mow and the electric clutch would not engage, checked out wireing restarted engine. and engaged...

Bill, not sure, but, the engine will not crank with the clutch engaged, I don't know what happened, but sounds like the clutch switch went out and took the mower with it. Take the wires apart between the ignition and the clutch and hot wire them to see if the clutch jumps. If it is working, then make sure it is off, or disconnected and try to start it, then take it from there, if it starts, you know it is the switch. If it doesn't start, then you can go look at other safety switches. make sure it is neutral, mower off, driver in seat, clutch in, etc, Hope this helps.

T101r just installed by licensed electrician. On off switch does not operate. Power is continuously supplied to timer. On Off pins do not operate. I must control power from gfi attached to house or breaker...

I have this timer. The clock should run continuously in order to keep time.
The ON/OFF switch should turn the load (lights, pump, etc.) on and off.
If it doesn't, either the device is defective or it is incorrectly wired.
The wiring should be:
The 120 volt supply white wire connects to the A terminal.
The 120 volt supply black wire connects to the LINE terminal.
The load white connects to the A terminal.
The load black connects to the LOAD terminal.
The clock wires area already connected to the A and LINE terminals.
Let me know what you find.

I just purchased Malibu ML 600 TW transformer, and ran wire and attached lights, but I can't get any of them to work. Perhaps I'm wiring it incorrectly? How do I test the transformer to see if it is...

Malibu website
Malibu manuals

The power pack has a humming sound >> put your ear close
Plug in a hair dryer on same plug to see if you have power
Check the GFI tripper in bathroom and kitchen
Plug power pack directly into receptacle (no extension cord)
It is hard to believe you got every light wrong >> the light connections are pretty fail-proof today

1) You can test the transformer by rotating manual override counterclockwise >> that's the on-off switch
2) You can test transformer by seeing if clock dial rotates with passing time > the clock must rotate
3) You can check if wires have power > disconnect wires > use another wire to scratch across both terminals to see if there is a spark

4) Did you put the red-and-black tripper pins on the dial? Red = ON Black = OFF

5) I think you forgot to set the time of day correctly
- put in tripper pins.
- rotate center dial clockwise to present time
- now, rotate dial two more full rotations and come back to present time

If the dial will not rotate or transformer does not have power, then the transformer is defective.

I have a Model ml 44t, when the temp outside became cooler my timer would not turn on the lights, it would stop rotating at the red post.

-I think your outdoor plug is connected to GFI plug in bathroom or kitchen >>> check reset on GFI.
-Next, plug your hair dryer into same outdoor plug to see if plug has electricity >>> electrical plugs outside wear out quicker, and get loose wires.
-Move timer cord to the other plug
-I don't know if a bit of WD 40 would help or not .... couldn't hurt to spry some on the pins at this point ...UNPLUG timer because WD is very flammable...
-Tips from manual mention checking for burned out bulbs ... I've seen that mentioned other places and don't know if bulb problems shorten life of low-volt transformer inside the box.
-I worked with timers for years, and never seen replacement clocks or transformers for Malibu-type timers
-Timers located outside get damp and dirty ... these things cause small gears inside timers to oxidize and clog so they don't work after a while ... again, a bit of WD-40 might help

Tips copied from manual:
• Make sure power pack is plugged in. Is outlet working?
• Turn manual ON/OFF switch to "ON" or rotate dial so "ON" tripper passes time line indicator.
• Is lamp burned out? Use another lamp to test.
NOTE: This lighting system is designed to last many years under normal conditions. However, lamps eventually burn out and operating with one lamp out can shorten the life of the others. IT IS IMPORTANT TO REPLACE BURNED OUT LAMPS PROMPTLY.
Conditions beyond your control such as abnormally high household voltage due to poor utility voltage regulation will also affect lamp life.

The timer has 1 year warranty.

Timer stops at on postion? transfomer works, have to do it by hand

If the timer is stopping, it could be a physical obstruction. Or it could be an electrical mis wiring so that the timer is turning itself off at that point, check the incoming wiring and see if it makes sense, and follow the diagram to see if the incoming power is definitely not on any switched terminals, they would maybe be marked with NO , NC,

How do you set the timer on Malibu 300 watt transformer, ML300RTW. I have the pins in the right spots, but the timer doesn't go around. I there a on/off switch to activate the unit?

Make sure there is power to the plug. Then set the clock and install the on and off pins to control the lights. The on/off switch is for manually turning on the lights. The clock should run as soon as it's plugged in.
