Question about Cameras
OK ..there are a few steps to make before getting into the problem on a particular base...
First you have to make sure that the camera is not disabled..so for this ..you have to go to the Bios settings and default the Bios..To get there press F2 on start (right after the first written line is shown ) and once there .. look for a feature called Optimal Factory defaults ....(it will have a function to press for it ..or just select it with the up/down arrows and press enter) after enabling the defaults ...press F10 to save the changes ..and restart ...In this moment you are sure that all devices that are supposed to be enabled are on the right function ...so ...the camera as well..
if the system will not detect and try to install the camera automatically after this...(if does...just insert the drivers disk ..or if it was installed before in this operation system , let it install the camera automatically ...just follow the wizard )
If it does not action in this direction ...go to device manager ..by right click on the My Computer icon on desktop..or on the start ...and choose properties...and hardware ...device manager ...Here yo will have a list with all the devices present and plugged on the system ...Look for the camera on the list ...(you will find it in yellow with an ask sign on it if it isnt installed-missing driver ) right click on it ...and update driver ...if it has the driver on the system ( I mean if you didnt installed the operation system since the last time it worked) it will find the driver and install itself in an automatically way ...if not..choose on the wizard to install it from a specific location ..and browse for the driver ..on the disk or on a location where you have to put it before all these been made..
Another way to do all these is to start search for device from the control panel ..add new hardware (after you default BIOS) and let it search for the camera ..(choose already added but not installed yet) ..when it founds it ...installl it automatically if you have the driver on the disk ...or install the driver firt and do this operation afer one reboot..and it wwill have the driver in the system ...
I sound a little complicated ..but it is not..This are the same operation done in 3 different ways...I mentioned all 3 ways just in case your system has issues and you need to try different way for to by pass its issues..
In short ...default the Bios...
be sure you have the driver for your operation system (suitable one )
choose one of the methods I mentioned..to initiate the installation (update ) of the camera automatically ..
IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES RELATED WITH THE LACK OF THE DRIVER ..PLEASE REPLY ME QUICK ..AND MENTION THE OPERATING SYSTEM AND THE FULL NAME OF THE LAPTOP . Thia way I will locate the driver and link a download for you to make things easier..
have a nice day ..and Good luck !
