OC failure = over clocking failure. Make sure the CPU fan is clean, free from dirt & dust. Check CPU fan plug is connected correctly. If the CPU fan still stops after a few seconds replace the CPU fan.
It's harder to find just a fan to fit your heatsink, which sits on your CPU. It is easier to find a new heatsink \ fan combo for your Intel. Use your manual to find what Intel chip is on your board. Use that information & search google for a heatsink & fan combo. Pay close attention to how your current heatsink is mounted to the Gigabyte board.

If your computer just stop running the Fan and shuts down it means its failing to cooldown properly possibly cause

  1. its cooling system is blocked (dirty, cloth or just to close to walls then try unclogging or just giving it air from the walls and other perimeters )
  2. See if the fan is running on the processor (Sorry i havent considered yor mother board type) or if it is using a heat sink make sure the sink/fan is properly attached to the processor and is running

Computer need to operate below a certain temperature so it has a safety feature to turn itself off just before it get damaged

Hi!! my home pc specification , intel p4 865gvhz , 3ghz cpu speed, 512 mb ram. what are the possible upgradation i can do n my pc? how can i improve my graphics?

You can upgrade system memory up to 2Gb and additional can add a AGP graphics card. This is the only way but i'm not recommending this because you can by new generation cpu+motherboard+memory under 10k it will be the better choice than upgradation. Buu AMD CPU ... always better than Intel (comparing the price value)

Computer does not post. Fans & lights on.

Good day sir, as you describe your problem, as I see it you forgot to replace your Power Supply box. Swap in a new one, see if it runs. Also make sure that your RAM is good.

New PC shutting down with MSI K9A2 mother board

this is a problem complexing situation because here are involved more than one device that causing this, if you have time and parts to experiment is a good think, you have to take out from your board cpu ram and vga-s and put in their place a second component(take from your friend or if you know that guy in service maybe halping you with parts so even him is taking experience of this situations). after testing your Mb with second components if it working fine no shut downs no crahes, then problem is in one of other components, try it taking out second parts one by one eny time, replacing with your components. begin with vga(or vga-s if you have more than one but is better to put it and prove them one by one to diagnose if their have problems) after doing this and you didnt finded problem in vga/s let your part in place and change second ram taht you puted with yours(if have more than a module prove it one by one each time reboting system after each one.) if even in your ram you dont have problems, so change cpu/s. one of this components without dubt is faulty.
if problem resolved and you dont have more problems and didnt find a faulty component and your pc is working fine so it was a miss making.
try all experiments with mother board outside case. some time shrt circuit of Mb with case is causing problem, after try it in case if you dont finded problems, in any way that i told you up.

I want to upgrade my HP BA 600 Mother Board`s RAM Capacity

Hello,
Most likely your MB is too old for this upgrade although there is a chance you could flash your bios (reprogram your computer's brain to accept the new memory providing hp has a flash for it).
here is a link for the latest bios flash for your computer, use at your own risk.

good luck.
Thank you,

Mother Will Not Post

Your post code EF comes from EF Configuration memory error - can't find memory Derives from AMI BIOS and uses port 80h
The memory failure is normally due to the first bank of ram or a data line
Check to see if your ram is seated properly, that is make sure the ram stick is in all the way down. Your problem is your system can't find RAM
