Question about Toshiba 36A40 36" TV

1 Answer

Recently plugged a CamCorder into the side panel to show home video. Subsequently, the TV is now dark with "No Video Signal" when either Satelite or DVD is the source.

I would say make sure the TV is on the correct channel, or input selection for whatever corresponding input source. Be it cable, video 1, video 2, dvd 1, etc. If TV worked before and with your camcorder, then it has to work with other sources after removing the camcorder. Hope this is somewhat helpful.

What to do if your TV won't take your Video/Audio cables

see, your DVD/Video device, outputs Composite Video & and an Audio signal, subsequently you must have AV inputs on your set they are Red & White (Audio) & Yellow (Video) RCA Jacks. If you do not have these then you are a bit stumped. You may however get a RF Modulator, this takes the Composite Video & Audio signal, and converts it into a TV Signal that can be "Received" on a TV Channels.
I have included a link so you understand what I am talking about.

I just recently bought a mitsubishi tv cs-32507 and all i can get it to do is show a blue screen.

The blue screen means there is no video signal, make sure you have your cable turner/dvd/bluray/home theatre/etc. plugged in and turned on connectors. For refference check your user manual.

I have a RCA XS Stero TV. I don't have remote. I connected DVD player right connections. But I am not getting any picture in the Screen. Actully it is showing Blue screen all the time. No TV picture also....

Sounds like you're stuck on..... Video 1 or Video 2 (whichever). If you can access your TV's menu at the front panel, you should be able to switch over fairly easy. Hit MENU. Using your VOLUME UP & DOWN buttons, Go to CABLE/SATELITE/ANTENNA, hit VOLUME UP or DOWN 'til it switches back to TV picture then hit ENTER. If you do not have an access panel in front but possibly have any other remote (cable or satelite or home theater, etc...) that can be paired with this TV and has an INPUT button, you can change the setting that way.

Hope this info was helpful. Good Luck!

  1. connect VCR(recorder) to TV, select TV proper channel to get signal from VCR
  2. connect Mini DV to VCR, for example, you are using AV1 input on your VCR
  3. on you VCR, select channel(or input) to AV1, insert a blank tape
  4. turn your Mini DV to play mode and play, press REC on your VCR

Get sound but no picture

Plug the yellow RCA cable into the Video Out on the 3 2 1 and into one of the Video In ports on the tv. Make a note of which port you plugged into. Then change the input selector to that video port on the tv.
