Broken dryer door handel

put back in place and the least costly is to put a screw in to the handle that will also screw into the metal or go to local parts store with your model# so they can order you one in and make sure you use a short enough screw that it will not go throught the door

Dryer Problem

Grinding noise most likely due to the front drum bearings worn out - result is the metal drum making contact with the rim of the from panel.

This requires a total disassembly of the dryer to investigate & likely replacement of the front slipper pads (dry nylon slipper bearings 4 x ).

This will only be a succesful repair if you stopped using the dryer the moment it started screeching.

If you have let it run, the metal-on-metal will have gouged the edge of the drum and will rip up any new replacement bearing pads.

Do not attempt this unless you are a very competent handyperson. Many screws lost, cut fingers and swear words will ensure if you are not confident in approaching this job, so either toss the dryer or get a competent repairman to do the job.
