After washing a load, the next day I find water in bottom of tub in front load.

If it is clean water main couase is a leeky fill valve (not closing) after machine power off. Repalce or turn tap off. If it is hot & cold fill then turn one tap off after a wash and see if the water still comes in. Repeat with the other tap after the next wash.
If it is dirty water then it is filling back up from your drain system this would need to be inspectected for blockage etc.

I have a Kokler tub which has a toe tap drain that is clogged. I turned the metal portion of the actual toe tap counter clockwise and removed the top portion and the rubber piece directly under it. Now I...

Someone overtightened the plastic part during installation. There is a threaded portion at the bottom of the plastic cylinder that screws into the actual drain. I have never had to resort to pliers for removal but that approach may be your only hope for removal.

Washing machine fills with water while sitting idle.

Another problem could be the inlet solenoid is failing to close properly, this could be caused by either an obstruction in the sealing part of the solenoid valve, a damaged or worn out seal or if the water pressure is too low. (some solenoids require water pressure to close off properly). To test this idea turn off the taps when not in use. If the water is still filling the tub, the back flow / syphoning idea may be valid. Also just to rule the idea out, turn off the tap to the machine and remove the inlet hose, if the tap "drips" this "trickle" of water maybe the culprit. If turning off the inlet tap fixes the problem you may need to replace the inlet solenoid.

Removing bath drain

There are two types of tub drain stoppers for the delta brand - lift & turn and toe tap.

Lift and Turn:
The lift & turn stopper for the bathtub unscrews counterclockwise while in the full up position.

Toe Tap:
The toe tap stopper does also but if the cap may unscrew from it before the entire stopper comes out. In that case, there is a nut that is now exposed and can be accessed to unscrew the assembly.

If either of these is "spinning" without unscrewing, the threads are stripped and you would need to exert upward pressure while unscrewing in hopes of uncoupling this from the bath waste. If that doesn't work you would have to unscrew the bath waste flange from the drain pipe.
This will require access under the tub. I hope this answer the question for you. Thank you for using FIXYA. Jeff

I have a Delta push down bathtub drain stop, but it is worn and does not stop the water. It does not unscrew as far as I can see how do I get it apart without removing the tube which I can not do?

Slow tub drain

I am not completly sure about the kohler, but i think that you have a toe tap drajn. You should be able to un-screw it counter clockwise.IF you can get it un-screwed look at the bottom of the toe tap. There will be a screw or a plastic nut.I beleave that you loosen it to raise the drain I hope my information is correct,I will certanly do some research on your drain.
