Buy a v3i with external memory if you had to get the phone's memory increase buy deleting some of the stuff it came with it still will not be enough.

I have a memory card for my Motorola v3 razr and it has always worked fine and now i cannot acess my "storage device" or card and whenever i try it freezes the phone. what can i do to fix this

Hello,

It looks like your memory card has developed errors.
To fix that problem, you need to format your memory card to correct the errors.

How ever, formatting your memory card will loose all the data in it.

Thank you for using Fixya,
Kenneth

Storage Space

The Original Razr V3 does not have memory card abilities, so you would need to delete any pictures, ringtones, and apps that you no longer want.

The newer versions such as the V3t can use MicroSD cards.

Memory card for motorola razr

younigleigh: To access your card you have to change the Storage Device. For example if you want to access your RINGTONES or SOUNDS, do as follows: 1. Go to MY STUFF menu by pressing the CIRCLED button betten the GREEN (SEND CALL) and the RED (ON/OFF) buttons. 2. Select for example SOUNDS. 3. Hit the middle multiple bar between the BACK and GO TO options on screen (SOUNDS MENU). 4. Select SWITCH STORAGE DEVICE and select the CARD option. You're now accessing and STORING data on your MEMORY CARD. SithPitt

Storage Device

It sounds like the memory card that you are trying to get the razar to open is using a different file extension :format: than the one that the razor actually can understand the fix is to "REFORMAT" the SD card but remember to backup any files or data that is on the sd card because once you reformat the data, ect. is gone..
