You may still have a fault with your carburetor, having to chock it somewhat indicates you are not getting a rich enough fuel mixture, obtain a carburetor rebuild kit and clean the carburetor paying attention to the small galleries blowing them out with solvent and air pressure, also insure the gasket between the intake and the carburetor is not sucking in air, you will get a new one with your carb kit

Why does troybilt generator engine keeps shutting off when throttle is moved from choke to run position?

Give it a shot of starting fluid. If it runs initially, then most likely the jets on the carbureator are clogged. You should remove the carb and clean/rebuild it.

Engine surges won't run with out choke and then it stalls

If the engine surges and won't run without choke it is starving for fuel. Best place to start is the fuel filter. After the fuel filter, pull the fuel line off of the carburetor and place a container under the fuel line to catch the fuel. Crank the engine over and watch for the amount of fuel being pumped through the line. There should be a good stream of fuel with each pulse from the pump. Chances are the pump diaphragm is getting weak and it cannot keep enough fuel in the carb to run proper. Check those items and let me know if it helps, Daniel.

Ipulled out a318 with a2 barrell carb installed 383 4 barell I have the factory 5/16 fuel line and new factory pump on heavy acceloration from stop it tries to die then takes off and acelorates fine do I...

Sounds like the accelerator pump circuit in the carb is not squirting fuel in when you depress the accelerator. That is why you get the lag in acceleration before it decides to launch. When you open the carb you should get a steady stream of fuel from the accelerator pump. With the engine not running look down the carb throat and open the throttle blades and visually check to see that there is a stream of fuel when doing so. If not time to rebuild the carb, or just get another accelerator pump for
the carb.

After about 30 minutes engine will start surging, by partly pulling the choke out it will run better. The carb has been recently rebuilt as well as new filter and fuel line to carb. Tried different fuel...

Typically a surge is caused by a lean condition. I'd say the float is set to low and this is causing the engine to lean out & when you apply the choke it richens it back up.and the surge stops.

Coleman 5000 watt generator Tecumseh 10 hp engine. Surging r.p.m. Carburetor has been gone through 2 times, and still not correct. Any information will help!!!

it's running lean.....try resetting the choke partially when it begins to surge.....not completely closed, but enough to richen the fuel mixture (that's all a choke does btw..)
if that helps or clears the problem, your carb is outta whack.....cheaper to buy a new carb than keep taking back into the shop.

Governor keeps surging fast and then slow

Check to see if the engine runs smooth will slowly pulling choke out. if it runs better without surging, then its a carb problem.
Also may have an air leak in carb gaskets

Your automatic choke is probably sticking. Spray it out with 2+2 Carb and Choke Cleaner. Do this when the car is cold so you don't start a fire. While the car is running see what position the choke butterfly is in when the engine is hot. If it is partially closed you may have a bad spring in the choke mechanism or it may need an adjustment.

2002 suzuki LS 650 running lean at higher speeds, (off idle)

this prob happens allways in carburated engines that the car or motorcycle is running lean or rich . because the air - fuel mixture ratio is not right . so you should open the carburator and remove the air filter you will find two screws in the lower front section of your caeburator. you can adjust them by a screw driver until your car is smooth
