Are you above 6000 feet in altitude? You need to remove the cover on the regulator and tweak the pressure.

It could be something as simple as a triggered safety feature within the gas tank itself. These new tanks will react to the gas leaving the tank at a high flow rate causing low burner temps. To remedy: shut off gas and remove tank. Open and close all valves on the grill. Reattach the tank and SLOWLY open the valve 2 turns. Then retry. See page 13

We currently have a Frigidaire BBQ, model GL30LKEC. The problem is, it won't retain the heat. The temperature gets up to 300 degrees, but half way through cooking, it drops to 200 degrees and won't get...

Sounds like a problem with either the regulator or the burners themselves. Is it fully fueled? Visit and speak with the techs there. They should be able to help.

Medallion Vermont Casting model CF9080

sounds like the regulator. there isn't much of anything left to go wrong! the gas comes out of a very small orifice in the burner tube and mixes with atmospheric air before being burned at the jet.
