You should put in approx 900 ml of 5W30 or 10W30 engine oil. Make sure the oil level on the dipstick doesn't get onto the plastic. As long as it's on the metal, it's good.

How much oil do I put in the motor of a 2005 Honda crf 230f

Is there no oil dip stick on your motorcycle??? I don't know what measuring system you use where you live, so I will talk in terms of the US standard quart. If you don't have an owners manual (look behind the side cover on the left hand side), start with one quart. With the bike on the level (i.e., not on the side stand) check the oil dip stick. Continue filling until you reach the proper level indicated on the dip stick. Do not over fill.

Does a catera have a dip sick

A dip stick is the indicator so the opeator (driver) can check your oil. The dip stick got its name because the end "dips" into the oil reservoir, or as some call it "Oil Pan" The oil dip stick is located on the left side of the engine towards top and is colored yellow at the circular loop for a finger hole. Find your oil filler cap, where you add oil.. it will say 5/w20 or something along that number. Standing at the front passenger side of the car with the hood up look to the front left corner area about a foot into the engine compartment area. DO NOT RUN ENGINE IF YOU BELIEVE THE OIL LEVEL IS EXTREMELY LOW. You can do step 3-6 with a cold engine to guage if you are extremely low on oil before starting the car. Also note that your oil should be checked in the following fashion. 1. Make sure car is on a level flat surface. 2. Make sure the engine off but warm. Either after having driven it or running for 5 minutes. 3. Pull dip stick and wipe all oil from it with a clean cloth, paper towel, etc. I say "Clean" as you will be able to see the color of the oil and if its contaminated in any way. 4. Place the diptstick back in the tube all the way until the finger hook sets in place. 5. Remove quickly and observe reading at tip of dispstick. 6 Proper oil at this point should be 3/4 of the way to Maximum indicator. YOur dipstick may say MAX or may have two dots seperated by a hashed area. Either way you should be 3/4 of the way to the top dot or max indicator. If you arent then add the recommened oil for your vehicle (you can find the best oil for your car at www. mobil1.com and the proper weight and type) I would add it a half quart at a time depending you how far you are from MAX mark. If you are within 1/4 of the MIN or Lower dot.. closest to the end of the dipstick then you should add a quart fully and then add in 1/2 quart increments until you can do the test and see the oil at the proper level. DO NOT RUN CAR if you believe you are extremely low on oil.

WHERE DO I PUT THE TRANSMISION FLUID

you have to locate the tranny dip stick and pull it out- then get a funnel that will fit down the hole- and slowly pour in tranny fliud. check level by putting dip stick back in (allow time for fuild to drip down out of the tube) make sure engine is running and is warmed up while reading fluid level on dipstick. Make sure it is the tranny dip stick and not the oil dipstick. oil is usually yellow and says oil on it- Trans is usually red.

1 qt oil every 1000 miles

kev, check you have the right level on your dip stick, oil must be on upper mark when donk cold.also ensure you are running the correct oil weight for your donk.
engine may be running hot; which means one way oil can go missing is its being burnt.
also check your primary drive, clutch oil level ,not sure as i have 80cube evo, but you may find your oil in there due to bad oil seal internally. im no expert but these may be of help.

Your transmission is sealed and has no dip stick, checking the fluid level properly involves using a factory scan tool.
