Ok, this may be a simple antenna problem, please check all connections, on the set, Sometimes, things like this are just a bad signal, or interference, you will have to troubleshoot, and determine exactly what is causing this to happen? I have given you a servicing manual above, this should help you set it up correctly. Sometimes lines like this spell a going faulty screen,. IF you cannot sort it out yourself, have an engineer have a good look at it. get it looked at by a Vizio approved service center, ring Vizio head office, and ask for a referral, then, ask the repairers for a "Quote" before proceeding with any repairs.

You may have a LCD controller or inverter that is malfunctioning.
the main board needs to be serviced by a tech to pinpoint the area of concern for this issue.

If it behaves like that whatever the input you are using then the image processor is dying and it should be replaced. This is a job for a professional and it will be expensive.

Yes, it's in the mainboard. If you replace it -  it will fix it of course. But, as i said, it will be expensive and complicated.

7inch vertical color lines right side of screen all th time

Hi.

This website has the service manual ($7.79) with instructions to diagnose the boards. Unfortunately I am afraid that the problem is not a board but the panel itself.

Thin vertical lines in the middle of the picture mean that the panel is gone. Here an example of lines from bad panel in Toshiba LCD:Line Picture. (discussion: Avsforum). Sometimes the lines can be dark or in bright color.

The panel costs $339 (LCD PANEL ASSY).

Because of the price of the panel, the TV is not worth repairing unless under warranty.

Even if the TV is out of warranty call Toshiba and report the problem. As you can see in AVSforum page above the problem is affecting many users.

If Toshiba doesn't offer special conditions on repair (or discount on new), the TV is not worth repairing. Replacement of the digital board will hardly be a solution.

Only if you have wide bands, scrambled or flickering, then the problem is digital board (main board) or panel. If you have the thin pixel lines, then the panel is gone.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525. In general the picture is great from all sources (cable, component, and hdmi). However, there occasionally are very thin, horizontal lines that flicker across the screen....

I have seen this problem before. It is usually caused by a malfunctioning color wheel. Replacing it should resolve the problem. Let me know if you wish to fix it yourself so that I can find you a replacement.

If it's a straight line from top to bottom panel could be defective. Not much you can do as cost of panel will compare with a new monitor.

Television has no picture

That TV uses the PTK195 chassis, and the fact that you see only a thin line for each color near the bottom of the screen tells me your vertical output IC has stopped working, and is putting a small DC voltage across the yokes. I have seen this caused by a defective vertical output IC and I have also seen vertical problems caused by a small CRT coolant leak which drips onto the main board near the vertical output IC. If you do not have experience servicing the PTK195 chassis than have a qualified tech handle it for you.
