How do I reprogram ignition key on a 2009 buick lucerne

Dealer or mobile lock smith . unless you have a professional scan tool that can program keys . For about $1,500 you can buy a autel scanner . Immobilizer System Component Programming
10-Minute Immobilizer Relearn
This 10-minute relearn procedure will relearn the prerelease password and the challenge/response data between the theft deterrent module (TDM) and the engine control module (ECM).
Connect a scan tool to the vehicle in the pass-thru arrangement.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Ensure that all power consuming devices are turned OFF on the vehicle.
On the Techline Terminal, select Service Programming System and follow the Techline Terminal on-screen instructions, using the Pass-Thru method. Ensure the correct programming selection is chosen based on component being replaced or programmed. For this procedure, go to the V.T.D. Vehicle Theft Deterrent Learn menu and choose the Vehicle Theft Deterrent Learn, ECM, or PK3 Replaced selection.
At this point the scan tool must remain connected for the duration of the 10-minute relearn procedure.
Important:
• The scan tool will initially display 12 Minutes. The first 2 minutes allow the scan tool to initialize the appropriate control module. The remaining 10 minutes is the relearn timer.
• On some vehicles the security indicator may be illuminated for the duration of the 10-minute relearn procedure.
Observe the scan tool, after approximately 10 minutes the scan tool will display "Programming Successful, Turn OFF Ignition". The vehicle is now ready to relearn the key information and/or the passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK.
Turn OFF the ignition and wait 2 minutes.
With a master vehicle key, turn the ignition to the RUN position for 15 seconds, then start the vehicle. The TDM and ECM have now relearned the pre-release password and the challenge/response data.
With a scan tool, clear any DTCs.

Monitor message says "Theft Disable

The theft deterrence system can be disabled temporarily by unplugging the monitor's power cord. Then it will start the counter again. (The default is 60 minutes and is set in the EzTune software.) The software locks the monitor to one computer (the one running the EzTune software). To disable the theft deterrent message, enter EzTune and click on the Extras tab. Then select the Theft Deterrence section and enter the PIN. The PIN can be saved online and then you can request it if forgotten: https://pinreg.portrait.com/index.php?OEM=gwy&PRODUCT=dtune&ULANG=enu .

The EzTune software is available here: http://oem.portrait.com/dtune/gwy/enu/upgrade.html .

The user's guide and other documentation is available here: http://support.gateway.com/s/MONITOR/7005574R/7005574Rnv.shtml .

I hope this helps.

My car won't start. It sounds like it wants to turn over, but doesn't. I had a mobile mechanic come out and troubleshoot the problem. He hooked some type of reader to my car. Two codes came up. "P1631...

You might try to reset the computer. Here is the way you do it.

Turn the key to the ON position.
Then press the gas pedal all the way to the floor and let all the way off 3 times.
Then turn the key off. The next time you turn the key on it will have reset the computer. Not too sure if it will reset those codes. But it is free and worth a try!

Hope this helps you!!! If so please check YES! Thanks!

Theft disable menu pops up and won't go away and it keeps turning off my monitor

You need to install EZTUNE from Gateway, but you need to go here first:
Portrait Displays' Theft Deterrence minimizes theft or unauthorized relocation of your display. Theft Deterrence does not prevent the display from being stolen, but hinders the operation of the display once it is removed from the 'Theft Deterrence enabled' host computer.

This site is provided for you to securely store your PIN in the event you should need to retrieve it at some point in the future.

Please select from the following options.

Change your PIN. https://pinreg.portrait.com/change_p...=dtune&OEM=gwy

Forgot your PIN? https://pinreg.portrait.com/remind_p...=dtune&OEM=gwy

Monitor not powering up. Theft deterrent?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors overheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and - connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one the same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

Theft Deterrance system

If you ever have this problem but cannot get to the 'extras' button, leave the computer on that (hopefully) already has the eztune software installed, pull the power on the monitor (the cord, not just press the power button) and then plug it back it...it should unlock automatically. It ticks me off that I just got off the phone with gateway tech support and they wouldnt tell me that because my monitor is 'out of warranty'...purchased 4/8/08 and problem today 7/15/09...bums. Anyway, they offered to fix for a fee. I got it fixed.

Anti theft mode

If L90D you need a PIN number to unlock it.
Connect to your original computer and run Plug-ins - Theft deterrence to enter or reset PIN - or go to web site via software - see below

Under the ‘Plug-ins’ menu is the ‘Theft Deterrence’ option – a more accurate term than the ‘Anti-Theft’ sticker on the monitor itself. Why? Well anyone can physically steal this monitor from me. There is no Bond-like lethal gadget that would bring certain death to a would be thief. Rather, the theft deterrent is a PIN-based procedure that hinders the operation of the display once it has been removed from the host computer. Briefly, you register and store a PIN to a secure web site, then set a countdown timer. If the power and display cables have been removed and the monitor has been attached to a different computer, the timer counts down. If the correct PIN is not entered using ImageTune, the monitor will enter theft mode and display a large warning message. It doesn’t prevent the monitor from being swiped, but at least there's some satisfaction in knowing the thief can’t use it.

software called ImageTune that replaces the usual on-screen display (OSD) tools, arrives on an included CD. With it, you can adjust basic monitor settings such as brightness and contrast with a mouse instead of with the small, squishy membrane buttons under the bezel.
