Please take out the paper cassette tray and see if there is a paper sensor hanging down underneath the machine. Also check to see if the paper cassette tray is lifting up. The tray should make a noise when lifting up. Check to see that the printer recognizes the correct paper size.
"MP tray" refers to the manual paper tray. This is the common setting for most word processors whenever printing media other than paper. This message will come not only for labels, but for transparencies, card stock, envelopes, etc. The reason for this is that the manual paper tray is designed to provide a straighter paper path that helps preventing your labels from peeling inside the unit. Therefore, I do not recommend placing them in the regular paper tray. Take note that you should also check that the labels purchased specify they are meant for laser printer or copier. Regular labels, or labels designed for inkjet printers will surely come off inside your printer and cause damage that the warranty will not cover.
Hello; You may want to try this....Remove the printer cartridge and the paper tray. This should give you some access to the jamed paper. You will then be able to pull slowly on the paper in the direction back from where it was loaded. Replace the paper tray with no paper in it, replace the cartridge turn the printer back on. It should display a 'need paper' error. Turn the printer off, add paper and turn it back on. If there are any pages stored in the printers buffer memory it will print those. That should do it.
Clean the Feed Roller In the middle of the printer. Take the paper tray out- you will see the roller in the middle. Send a print job with paper tray removed. Press the black thing to fool the printer that it has paper. You will see the feed roller move. When it is in the position you want to clean- open the toner door and it will stop moving so you can clean it. Isopropyl alcohol and LINT FREE CLOG.
