Hi,
It depends....
Some units are 120 volt and others are 220v
Units up to about 18,000 btu are usually 120 and over that they are often 220...
The pug for the 120 will look like a normal light cord plug and the 220 plug will have the two blades going sideways instead of up and down...
Also for the larger units you will need a dedicated circuit for them as they take too much power to run on a circuit with anything else...

I need the electrical outlet scematic for Malaysia. The plugs are different from the usa

Plugs in Malaysia are type G and match those from Great Britain: The ground slot pointing vertical, and both 230Volt power slots horizontal.
Copy following link for wiring illustration
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-240-volt-outlets.html#type-G

Plugs in US are 120Volt. Plugs elsewhere in world are 230-240Volt

Be advised:
US produces 60 Hz electricity so generator rotates 60 times per second.
Malaysia has 50 Hz, same as Britian.
Unless your electrical device is rated for both 50/60 cycles, then a device from US market will not work in Malaysia.
Look at rating label on each device for cycles.

My wife pushed the ice dispencer then power went out tried plugging into other outlets yet nothing

Do the other outlets you plugged it into have power and something else plugged into them work such as a toaster /blender ect?? if all outlets in kitchen out their probably is a GFCI type outlet that has the reset button on it. Sometimes their in the kitchen or depending how the house was wired when built they could be in a bathroom or even garage. One outlet has that reset button but could have up to 6 outlets wired to it

Cant figure out which outlet is which number on Zilla timer. Turned on the yellow switches and then they turned back on at the time I have set for outlet 7. I thought the yellow ones were 1 and 2 or 1 and...

Open following link for Zilla timers
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#zilla

Zilla timers are unique for home-type timers.
They are two-channel timers, which means that timer has 2 independent programs.
In the case of Zilla, 1 program controls yellow outlets for daytime hours (6am to 6pm). Once daytime hours are over, the yellow outlets are OFF.
The other program controls blue outlets for nighttime hours (6pm to 6am). Once nighttime hours are over, the blue outlets are OFF.

So if you have a light for example, and light is plugged into yellow outlet, then you can program light to turn on-off during the daytime hours only. You cannot also set a nighttime program for the same light unless you plug light into blue outlet.

Zilla timers are for aquariums, where day and night plays important role in life cycle and activity of different types of aquatic beings.

Add a comment and say exactly which Zilla timer you have, and say what specifically you have done so far, and where you are stuck, and what loads you want to control.

I want to output audio from tv to stereo

would be better from the cable box to stereo, check for two sound outlets on the back of the flat pannel, one should be the RCA outlets, the other one should be the headphone type outlet, if the headphone type is the only one, go to Radio Shack and buy a converter from headphone jacks to RCA, I hope that works, if your stereo has the 5 color cable component, do it that way, component out to component in, God bless

Landlord wants to know what type of plug is on my dryer. Dryer is in storage. Dryer is about 8 years old. Is there a common type?

It's either a three prong or four prong plug. He'll need to change the outlet to match the dryer or change the dryer plug to match the outlet.

Had a storm, blew all the breakers got the breakers re-set but now the coffee maker won't even start

Hi, W/D here.
Try something else in the outlet. Most kitchens have ground fault outlet circuits, so you may have a tripped outlet breaker. These type of circuits can come from the panel through a ground fault circuit breaker, or they can go to the first outlet on a run of outlets. If the first outlet is ground fault protected, the others on that same run are protected as well. If another device will work in your coffeemaker outlet, the coffeemaker is probably dead. If another device will not work in the outlet, and your coffeemaker will work in a known, good outlet, you'll need to look at all of the outlets in your kitchen and bathrooms for an outlet with a "test" and a "reset" button on it. If your outlet is on that circuit, you will need to push the reset button to restore power to your coffeemaker's outlet.
Best regards, --W/D--
