If your patient enough wait for about a month till it all drys out or take keyboard out and dry, you might have to get new key board either way.
hope this helps.

Spilled soda in a Toshiba satelite C650D laptop, keyboard only, all works, but is sticky, keys to complicated to remove is it safe to remove it and soak it in distilled water or something else?

Remove the ribbon cable from the mobo once you snap the keyboard out of place. No it is not safe to EVER soak a keyboard in a solvent. I recommend ordering a new keyboard. You can usually find them very cheap on ebay. If you were to soak it in a solvent I would try using isoprophyl alcohol.

Spilled soda on toshiba laptop m505, keyboard is not working. keys don't stick anymore but not working. what do you recommend to fix it?

You need a new keyboard. The sugar in the soda caused the damage and will further corrode the keyboard.

I would also recommend that you clean the area where the soda may have spilled to on the system board.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

A very small amount of soda was spilled on the keyboard and now a few key on the left side of the keyboard feel like they are a little sticky (they don't pop back up like all the other keys). How can I...

Hello, and thanks for using FixYa.

Unfortunately the keyboard can not really be cleaned without a very high risc of ruing the whole keyboard. You have to replace the keyboard to a new one.

Please let me know if you require further assistance or if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Toshiba Satellite a105-S2716 keyboard doesn't work. Soda spilled on it. External USB keyboard does work. How do I fix it?

I think your Toshiba got grounded or short circuit inside. Better also to use USB Keyboard, it works.

Spill soda on my laptop keyboard

It is likely the only problem is that the soda is causing the keys to stick. There is probably no damage to any other internal components. Usually, laptop keyboards have a metal-based frame/tray that will protect the internal components from minor spills.

If you want to get rid of the cracking sound, you'll need to purchase a replacement keyboard from the laptop manufacturer or another source such as eBay, and then remove the sticky keyboard and replace it with the newly purchased one.

Keyboard just quit working

Its most likely just a bad keyboard unless something got spilled on the laptop. I would call Toshiba customer support and have a toshiba repair shop look at it. 1-800-457-7777

Well ..Spilling anything on a laptop or any computer component is always a no-no situation. I couldn't tell you what you may have "broke" but I highly doubt that it was just a "fuse"
