You must have your antenna in good condition and a good ground connection, and your stations will pick up on their own. There is no actual keys to press to grab your stations just your tuning buttons. Hit the scan key and it will stop on any stations that are strong enough to read, if the station numbers run continuosly without stopping then your antenna is weak or your area has poor connection.

I have a kenwoodkdc-mp228 cd changer in my car are the two rca plug ins on the back for the amp input and what button do i push too access the sound for amp

Hmm, even the actual manual is a little confusing, it covers too many models.

It suggests if you have 2 sets of RCA's they are OUTPUT ONLY, so you can run external amps and save the units amp chips.

The external amps will come on automatically if connected correctly.

Changing tuning frequncy from odd to even No. Kenwood KDC-MP228

Most car stereo (stereos in general) won't tune to even numbers. If you're having problems tuning in your station then you're either too far away or you should take a look at your antenna.

Need to change the 12v supply by the Radio

The Ford Focus has a stereo problem where the display blinks on and off, with or without the ignition on. This is not a power problem.

This problem occurs when attempting to store a radio station when a blank RDS signal is being transmitted.
To restore your stereo:
  • Insert a CD, stereo will turn on in CD mode.
  • Press MENU button
  • Select DEFAULT RESET by turning the right rotary knob and press to select
  • Select YES by tuning the right rotary knob and press select
  • Press BACK button
  • Press the RDS button once, display will read RDS OFF
  • Stereo will now work properly
To prevent this problem from occurring again, be sure some text is in the top line of the display when setting a stereo station. Do not set a station when the station name is blank in display.
