Do a system restore: follow these steps:
1. Click start > programs >accesories > system tools > system restore.
A page will come out. Click on Restore My Computer TO AN earlier time. Click Next. Click on the date when you were not having the problem. Then follow the remaining instructions which will be shown on the screen and wait for it to reboot.

Hello, my name is Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network. I'm sorry about any inconvenience, but the ViP211 is not a DVR receiver. If you have an external hard drive, you can activate the feature on the 211 to allow you to record movies to the external hard drive. It is a one time $40 to activate the external hard drive feature. Also, we can always look at getting a DVR receiver installed to replace the 211. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
