There are many reasons that your phone is dead, it might be software/firmware failure, virus problem, battery problem, IC short, Power IC failure, Battery Connection problem, circuit short etc.. but you need not to worry about all these, first check using another battery after cleaning the battery connectors and the circuit board including the ICs, resistors, transistors etc... and power on your mobile. If this doesn't work, I recommend you not to do it by yourself if you still love it, but rather take it to a mobile repairing shop and let them try. Or if you are not aware of complete dead, then you can do it so that you would know what exactly the problem is. But if it wasn't water logged, it is likely with your battery and connectors.
