Question about Lexmark X3650 Printer

1 Answer

Lexmark X5630 indicates refill black and color cartiridge

I have refilled the black cardridge and wiped the cardridge head clean and then dabbed the cartridge on the wet towel and the ink is flowing evenly. I have also cleaned the coper plate in the printer.

I've inserted the cartridge and still the messge is displayed "refill black and color cartiridge".

What can I do to resolve the problem. Should I reset anything in order for the printer to pickup the cartridge has been refilled?

Hi I have refilled my Lexmark X5630 , BUT IT STILL SHOWS THAT THE CARTRAGE NEEDS TO BE FILLED ;PLEASE ADVICE

Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled/remanufactured cartridges. They tend to degrade print quality and printer/cartridge performance.
Note that once a cartridge is refilled, it can no longer register its ink level.

Can u help me with resetting my Lexmark x7350? i revilled my cartridges, and now the printer says my color cardridge is allmost empty. Thank you!

Once the Lexmark cartridge is refilled, it can no longer report it's ink level. ). You should be aware that a refilled cartridge will not be able to report its ink level, and you might not get the print quality you expect from ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark to pass through microscopic nozzles at extremely high temperatures.

Will not let me use a refilled cardridge

You have to buy the 14A and 15A cartridges from the Lexmark site. These are refillable, though you'll have to search around for instructions - printer companies are legally required to make refillable cartridges available, but they're not required to make it easy.

Black printer ink in HP Printer may fail to be recognized by the printer. Most times an error message will be sent indicating that something is wrong with the black print cartridge. Sometimes the printer may accept to print with the black ink, but the printouts may have horizontal lines and very illegible letters. In such a case a manual cleaning of the print head should be carried out. In doing the manual cleaning, one should spray Windex heavily on paper towel and wipe off the surface of the print head.

I refiiled my black ink cartridge at Walgreens and now the printer thinks my black is empty and will not print.

Normaly when you refill a cartridge the level is not reset & is normal.

I assume if you read your instructions you should be able to press a button on your printer for 5 seconds & it should override the software.

Also on some lexmark printers you can tell the printer software you have installed a new cartridge.

Another common problem is when a cartridge is refilled if the correct type of head seal is not used the cartridge head clogs or dries up, to rectify that get a piece of tissue paper, wet it and place the printhead on it, just dab it, after a few dabs you should see a nice block of ink the same size of the printhead, if you do replace back into printer & it will work.

if you don't get a good band after a dozen goes the printhead is either blocked or when they refilled it they did'nt do it correctly.

Hi, I have a Lexmark X7170 Multi-function printer/copier/scanner and it is showing an error message "left cartridge incorrect". I have not charged the cartridges and I have tried to re-align it. Any ideas?

it means your left cartiridge got some problem, might be it got short and you have to replace that.

try this remove your left cartiridge and then try to print if it work then its clear that your aother cartiridge is gone and you need to change it.

Empty colour cardridge, cant print black and white

Hi!

I'm afraid that most printers nowadays simply refuse to print unless you have ink in BOTH cartridges. No workaround. At least with an
Epson you have the possiblily of buying much less expensive generic refills...If you do this always try and find reviews of the brand of refills...caveat emptor! (buyer beware)

Sorry..

Refilled cartridge not printing

Try to cartridge manually ,please follow the instructions :

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Printer is not printing black

Try cleaning the contacts with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. Make sure the contacts on the cartridge are clean too. You can buy a new Lexmark Z1300 for $30, and their cartridge prices are not that bad per page any more. So I'm not sure it's worth the hassle and risk of refilling yourself.
