Question about Jenn-Air JGC8536 Gas Cooktop
My cooktop is mounted in a counter, with a storage cabinet below. Once a burner or two is lit and cooking, and the cabinet doors are opened and closed, the flame will typically go-out, and relite when the cbinet door is closed quickly. The unit is a few years old, serial number 10476492ET, and this problem seem to be getting worse over time.
Seal all holes on the underside of cooktop. This is called the burner box. Seal all openings with aluminum tape. This should stop the back draft effect.
