Unplug from PC, unplug from wall, leave unplugged for say 5 mins, and then plug back into the Wall, then, reboot PC, then plug into PC. Now should be OK. If NOT please use the manual below to troubleshoot whats wrong.

Hi, one of the biggest problems turning the printer on is errors every time. In order to correct this, go to your remote "K" panel on your desktop (or wherever your link to this program is located). Click "Low Toner Message" in the "Off" position. Click "Toner Out Stop" in the "Off" position. Click "Auto Continue" in the "On" position. Then click "Apply". May have to hold the "Clear" button on the printer for about 15 seconds. You will have to do this every time you turn the printer on. It took me about a year of ownership to figure out this little trick to get my printer to operate without errors. It's the only workaround, but it does work.

still getting the same problem - tried holding clear before, during anfter swtching on and sending the instruction from the panel. When I open and shut the toner door it rattles awy to itself - the cyan toner is presented with the tab in the right place but magenta has the roller facing forwards - it's almost like it can take set it's starting/finishing point! - I've just bought my firstset of new tanks for it as well arghhhh!

Sorry Dr. I'm an LPN I understand your frustration. Sometimes, if you get real frustrated, you may put the cartridges in a little hard. This is a bad thing, as it bends the entire cartridge rotater frame. When this happens, you shut the door and it makes a noise like it's stuck and can't move. It does not move. If the frame is bent, gently remove and reinsert the stuck cartridge, You sometimes have to pull drum out the top, snap it into place, and put drum back in. If your frame is bent, you're going to have problems. You can still get it to work, but it is such a pain, it's better to just get a new printer. I know, I sank money into mine, and it's not really worth it.
