Hello
Try using the onboard video chip to run your graphics. This will tell you if the agp card is bad or not.
Remove agp card first.
Also if there is another power supply for agp card fan, try using it.

I have used circut board cleaner on vid cards to get the fan working again with sucsess.

A few ideas.

Please tell me about, What type of AGP VGA card should go with above motherboard type?

AGP video cards are no longer manufactured, AGP has not been used for some years now, so your best chance of finding a card is probably e-bay or somewhere similar.
The cards you might find would be Nvidia and ATI chip sets.

What is a good video card for P4VP-MX mother board? Mainly for smooth video streaming and HD /Blue Ray viewing?

Hi,

Your motherboard has an an AGP 4x slot.

AGP is an older technology now and has been superseded by PCI-Express graphics.

The best AGP card you can get would be something like this:

http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/5416296/Sapphire-ATI-Radeon-HD-3850-512MB-DDR3-AGP-8X-Graphics-Card/Product.html

It is more than powerful enough for HD video and also has good 3D graphics performance.

Please rate my answer if this helps.

Many thanks,

Chris

upon checking your motherboard, it has an AGP port for video. so you have to get an AGP video card compatible. New video cards are PCIX capable which will not fit AGP ports..

So you can get any AGP Video card and that should work.

Look in the BIOS, under the video ram settings. What is the largest RAM it can handle? 128? 256? 512? This will give you an indication as the size of video RAM that you can have on your card.

Hope this helps.
