Question about Sony VAIO VGN-FS810/W Notebook
My Sony (vgn-fs810/w) laptop is not powering up. Battery, ac adapter, power port and Power button are all ok. What is wrong this picture?
Remove the battery from the laptop, and leave it connected only to the wall outlet. Then press the power button. The laptop should now power up. It worked for me.

Motherboard is faulty. You can try removing the hard drive and dvd drive to make sure those aren't shorting out the motherboard. You can also try each memory stick to make sure neither one is shorting out the motherboard.
