Since it fell, your going to need to take it apart and unseat and reseat the LCD cable where it connects to the back of the LCD as well as where it connects to the motherboard.

Also unseat and reseat the memory one stick at a time in each slot one at a time and try to turn on the laptop after each reseat.

If those things don't work then that means the motherboard is bad.

This problem is often caused by a problem with the battery.
You can test this by disconnecting the battery pack and attempting to power on the notebook while it is plugged into the wall. Afterwards reconnect the batter pack and reboot.

You can restore the system to Factory condition (out-of-box state) by doing the following:

1) Press the power button till the machine goes off

2) Now hold the 0 (zero) key and tap the power button once to switch on the system

3) When you hear the machine beep release the 0 button.

4) On warning screen select Yes for system recovery.

5) Select Recovery of Factory Default Software and hit Next

Toshiba L300 screen flickers and backlight

Maybe is the backlight power cable cut. Try with the laptop in power on mode oppening VERY SLOWLY the screen to see if at a certain potition it works fine. Open it all the way up sometimes to check it. If thre is a potition that it works, it's the cable as I mentioned.

When I turn on my Toshiba Satellite Pro L300 nothing happens. The power(DC) and battery indicator lights are both ON but the screen remain black and hardly any vibration to show any device booting

1. you may have a non functioning adapter and it is not charging the battery
2. You may have a defective battery that needs replacement.
3.To see if the battery is defective take it to a laptop service tech to check with a new battery and have him also check the power adapter.

My toshiba satellite L300-the screen is black, have tried to switch off numerous, still no 'picture'. the lights showing power on etc r alight

Try pluging in a normal VGA monitor to the 15 pin HD D-type connector on the back if the screen is faulty this will spring into life at least then you will know if its your laptop internals that are at fault of just the screen.

If this laptop has no VGA plug it into an HDMI TV just to see if there is any life in it !!!

Toshiba Satellite L310 problem , display cannot appears

If the screen went blank after the driver install, sometimes clicking the mouse on the screen will bring the picture back. It sounds like the monitor is having a conflict with the resolution the driver is throwing out. Reboot the laptop and when you see the Toshiba splash screen, tap F8 until you see the multiple boot menu. Scroll to Safe Mode with networking and reboot. If the screen comes up, go to the control panel > System > hardware > display adapter > click on the plus sign and double click the reported adapter.click on driver tab and select roll back driver > click yes to any prompts and click ok. Reboot normally and see if that clears the problem.
