the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The same happened to me. What you do is, your supposed to enter the code. If it doesn't work, enter your password from before. Everything is erased because it reset itself. There is nothing yoou can do. You can also bring it to a Verizon Store for them to restore your contacts and music.
Most likely it won't help.

Sorry about your phone,

SOURCE: I do not know my PUK number for my Samsung SGH-900

The PUK is the personal unlocking Key. It will appear when you missed the code three times. It is the SIM card prblem. You restore the activation or your SIM when you call your network provider they can retrieve it from their database for free. and surely it will activate the SIm again. Rmember it is not a phone problem it is only the SIM when you replace the SIM the phone will not ask anymore the PUK code.

SOURCE: PUK CODE???

Hi

PUKs, or personal unblocking keys, are used to unblock a mobile phone which becomes blocked. Mobile phones may become blocked when a PIN (personal identification number) is entered incorrectly on three consecutive occasions. In some instances, the phone may become blocked, which requires a PUK to unblock it, and in other instances, the SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card itself becomes blocked and again will require a PUK to unblock it.
Mobile phones are also blocked when they are reported stolen and if there is an outstanding payment on the account.

You will have to ring your service provider and ask for your PUK code

Hope this helps !!!

SOURCE: I need PUK code and new pin code

The PUK code is related to the SIM card, not to the phone. If the SIM card is different from the one originally provided with the phone the PUK code won't work.

When you lose the PUK code, the only way to retrieve the code is by calling the phone company that released the card inside the phone.

An alternative way to get rid of the PUK code is by using a different SIM card.

Regards.

SOURCE: puk code

HI If you are asking for pin contact your service provider , he will give you a default pin . If you try pin more than few predefined no of times your phone will ask PUK code which can also be given only by your service provider which is specific for each and every mobile number . Donot try PUK code many times or else your sim will be blocked and you will need a new sim.
Contact your sim customer care department over phone. Its free of cost to get the pin or puk no.

Go to the nearest service outlet of your service provider they can also help you.

There is no other go than the above procedure only your service provider can give it nobody else in this world nor any software.

a factory reset is the only way to remove a consumer set lock code. If there was some magic way, there would be no point in locking a phone.

If it is asking for a PUK Code, that is a lock put on by the cellphone provider because it has been reported stolen or 10 attempts have been made to unlock. Only the carrier can unlock those. A Factory Reset will clear the phone, but the PUK Code is at firmware level and can't be defeated. Click on my name and check out my TIPS page for full info.

It can only come from your cellphone provider whether you are on contract or PAYG.

Here is my tip on PUK lock codes

Tip & How-To about Cell Phones
Your phone is asking for a PUK code?

Is your phone asking for a PUK code. PUK = Personal Unlocking Key. Personal Unblocking Key, or PIN Unblocking Key.

This can only come from your cellphone carrier and usually the company that still owns the phone under the agreement. Sometimes it is because you have put another SIM card in it, and they own the phone and need you to use them as carrier to get the price of the phone back, or you are in default of payment, or on a Pay as You Go plan, it is over expired. I can also happen if you have entered the unlock code wrongly three times. This often happens when a phone is stolen or lost and has been found by or sold to someone else who then try and use the phone. Wikipedia A personal unblocking code (PUC), also known as a PIN unlock key (PUK), is used in 3GPP mobile phones to reset a personal identification number (PIN) that has been lost or forgotten.
Most mobile telephones offer the feature of PIN protection. After switching on the phone, if the PIN security function is active, the user is requested to enter a 4-8 digit PIN enabling the phone's non-emergency calling functions. If the wrong PIN is typed in more than three times, either the SIM card, the device, or both become locked. They can be returned to their original unlocked state by entering a PUC, provided by the service operator after verification. If the wrong PUC is entered ten times in a row, the device will become permanently blocked and unrecoverable, requiring a new SIM card. Cellular phone users are therefore advised by most providers to keep their PUC written down in a safe place separate from the device.
The PUC (PUK) is a SIM-specific code assigned and provided by the service provider.
Once you enter the PUK code, you must set a PIN. The PUK and PUK2 are used to unlock the PIN and PIN2 codes respectively if your SIM card is blocked
From Bell
The PIN unblocking key (PUK; sometimes called personal unlocking key) is a master security code for unblocking and resetting the personal identification number (PIN) for your SIM card. For added security, the PUK is unique to your SIM card. If your PIN code is active and you enter it incorrectly three times, your SIM card will be blocked. You won't be able to use your phone, except for emergency calls. You must enter your PUK into your phone to unblock the SIM card. If your SIM card becomes blocked, Contact us to get your PUK.
You may be able to do it from the website or your cellular provider. This is from Orange - T-Mobile in the UK.

HOW TO UNLOCK A CELLPHONE THAT WAS PUK

To find a PUK code all you have to do is call up on the customer care number and ask them to help you with the issue. Before they provide you the PUK code, they will ask you several questions. You need to give them the appropriate information. Customer care of your service provider are the only source from which can give you the PUK code. At the time when you enter a wrong pin number three times. The phone asks you for a PUK number. The PUK code is generally eight digit number This PUK number is an unlocking code which helps you to unlock the phone and use it. If you enter a wrong PUK number 10 times than you simcard gets rejected. Then you will have to but a new simcard. It might happen that your phone might ask you for PUK2 after you enter your PUK number
