More details please. My Ubuntu13 works with anything, W7 should do with such an old model out of the box.

Have LG W2343 monitor. Just purchased a new HP computer which has Windows 7, but having trouble with the size resolution on my screen. Monitor worked fine on my old HP computer which had Windows XP

You have to look hereto see if it is compatible with Windows 7,
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Browse.aspx?type=Hardware&category=Displays&subcategory=LCD&showallcats=true&v=LG%20ELECTRONICS

Otherwise you will need Windows 7 driver from LG if they have one.
Most monitors works fine without the need of the drivers when running XP, but Windows 7 you need the correct drivers to get the correct resolution setting, that is one of the reason I do not care much for Windows 7 until they fix this problem, since a lot of people out there that still have great working monitors that work just fine with XP, most manufacturers do not provide drivers for Windows 7 for old monitors because they want you to buy new monitors.

mcdevito75 here, You can try to hold the button in for 3--5 seconds see if that helps. Switch could be bad, bring the monitor to Staples or computer repair for test.

I am having a long warm up period, 20 minutes,

Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

Black screen-loud clicking- geeen power light flashes

It can be bad power supply due to bad caps, or it is in safety shut down mode due to short circuits. You need to open it up first and look for bad caps since it is easy to see, then report back what you see inside so we can guide you further, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps here: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

No picture- loud clicking sound

Sounds to me like a Switched Mode Power Supply problem. The noise is what gives it away.

I just upgrade to Window 7, to my ACER AspireOne Netbook. Successful install with no problems. I have Acer X163W Monitor to use with my Acer Netbook, before install Win 7, I was able to setup the monitor...

As of now, there are no Windows 7 drivers for that monitor.

Here is the Vista driver:

Acer X163W Vista 32-bit Driver

You can try installing this in Windows 7 using compatibility mode and see if it works. Otherwise, just try to contact them directly or try and submit a query about it.
