Each Image from Nikon Coolpix P1 camera with linings

I have Nikon Coolpix P1 camera and have been using it for long time.Very recently it started giving problems (i.e., linings) in images in each shots. I formated the memory but the problem still persists. I tried my best by changing settings etc. to fix it. So need a help in this regard to get it fixed.
Thanks.
Arvind

This problem is dealing with the censor of the camera. There is a limited life for censor. It gets worse as the time passing and the number of shuts increasing. This is normal. This happens generally under strong light levels. Also it happens under high degree light level of Kelvin. There is nothing to do about this problem. The best way is to change the censor of the camera. But unfortunately it needs much money. This is not economic. So I do not offer this way. The other way is to use the camera with this fault or buy a new one. I have faced with this problem and gave the camera to child for him to touch it freely. And I bought a new one. So I offer the same to you. I know that this information does not make your face smiled. But the situation is this. My aim is to give you the correct information and let you know the reality.

Regards.

Nikon coolpix p1 camera takes weird outdoor pics

If the playback of old pictures are fine but camera mode displays lines across, you may have a defective CCD chip. These are expensive repair averaging around $110. Some local shop may able to repair it. Good luck -James. For further assistance by email, go to www.camerarepairjapan.com

Coolpix 4300 needs driver & update for vista

You can download PictureProject software from this address: http://chsv-soft.nikon-image.com/jpn/software/win/S-P2____-175WU-JPNJP.exe

That is the only Nikon software that supports Vista since your camera is "outdated".

Here is a quote from Nikon site:

  • We had released a Windows Vista-compatible version of PictureProject, v1.7.5, for use with the models listed below, and all models that followed. PTP (models supporting the PTP protocol) and Mass storage USB transfer options can be used for camera connection. However, the camera's transfer button can not be used to transfer pictures over a PTP connection. Set the USB transfer option to Mass storage to enable the camera's transfer button.
Currently, the new Nikon Transfer and View NX will replace Picture Project as our new Image Transfer and Browser applications. These applications support the same Nikon products as Picture Project.

Use a card reader or card slot to transfer images.
