Question about Acer 22" X223w LCD Monitor
Hi, have you checked running the monitor on all the outputs? dvi? vga? flickering is caused most times by bad connections either in the video cable, or on the video board, or power board inside the monitor. i know those monitors pretty well, i'm willing to bet if you opened up the monitor and looked at the power supply board, you would probably find worn/blown capacitors. this could very well account for the flickering. electrolytic capacitors store power for parts of the circuit that require lots of power to run. when they go bad(overheat) they pop up at the top, sometimes leak a little fluid. they are replaceable, need to be soldered in, and you can find them at most electronic stores abundantly, but you should check everything else first, the video cables(dvi, vga) before opening the monitor.
