Question about Kitchen Ranges

1 Answer

I have a hardwired door bell at my front door. It rings up on the second level. I spend alot of time in my garage and would like to install another chime in the garage that is wired to the same switch. I bought another chime and transformer but when I hook it up to the same switch it makes bad noises. must be back feeding with the other transformer upstairs through the switch. How should I wire this correctly for 2 chimes using one doorbell?

LiftMaster garage door opener won't open. When push button (from either remote or "door-bell" style button on wall), unit makes a slight humming sound for a couple of seconds, then nothing...?

Check the door springs and also the drive gear. The gear is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor unit. It will be pretty obvious if it is going bad. The door spring may be broken.

My garage door opener has stopped working. No

There isn't a reset but make sure the trolley isn't jammed against the bolt just in front of the motor unit.

My controls will not open or close my garage door. The wired control works. I read that the logic board is bad. How much is the logic board and how hard is it to install. Is it better to just get another...

A new board is @ $86.00. Because I do not know your skill level I really cannot say whether it is easy or hard to install. I have replaced boards and I find it easy, but my brother would find it impossible. So it is subjective and you know your own skill level better than anyone else. I personally feel that it is not too complicated for a typical homeowner to do. In this economic time, some people have no choice and cannot spend the extra money for a new opener, but again I do not know your financial situation either. So the choice is yours, but if you can use a screwdriver and stand comfortably on a ladder, I would replace the board. I hope this helps and good luck!

Hardwired code opener no longer works

Here are the directions to program your hardwired keypad.

First unplug the garage door opener from the electrical outlet. Next remove the nameplate from the console that the keypad plugs into and locate the program/operate switch. Flip the switch to program. Next, enter your desired four-digit PIN number into the keypad. Slide the switch back to operate and plug the garage door opener back in. The keypad should be programmed.

If there is a missing door opener, how do i delete all the openers and start over.?

You can hold the smart/learn button in for 6 seconds and this will erase the memory from the logic board. None of your remotes or keypad will work at this time. The wall control which is hardwired will still work. Now you must program your keypad and remotes.

Just to satisfy me would you try your original handheld remote once to make sure it is working properly. The wall control is hardwired so it is not a question.

Motor run chain not moving when i hit hardwired stop and start button

You need to check the drive gear. Remove the cover and it is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor. Most likely stripped. The part number is 41A2817 and is available from Sears or any good door opener service company. It comes with instructions.
